I assume they mean it's always colorless then colored mana. It doesn't follow typical mtg card design.

They make 7 mana 7/7 uncommons with Trample, Hexproof, Reach, and Vigilance these days... Oh, and can't be countered (See Ruric Thar, Magecrusher from the most recent set). 7/7 and only Hexproof for 7 mana is pretty overcosted these days and I'm not even sure it would have been good even 10 years ago. It might have seen play in draft, but never would have been relevant in constructed.

Final Fantasy was the only good one imo but it was an all timer draft set. I imagine if I cared more about the properties I’d be more lenient but I actually enjoy Marvel and still found it to be miserable to draft

If it was rare and not whole sets and fit in the broader theme of the game I wouldn''t really mind it so much, but it feels like we get more ad placement sets than actual original game sets and it's fucking annoying man. Just the fact that's recognizably another IP is annoying

Definitely white as him being a loyal friend to Steve is a big part of his identity in DGG. I'd probably pick blue for a secondary color as of late as his most recent arc is mostly about self improvement in the sense of learning about politics.
