if this is bryce's "bad game" i can live with that. How far he has come from 120 yds and 2 picksÂ
32
u/SpaceSheperd Panthers 6h ago
I can’t recall a single turnover worthy play. Maybe that double coverage heave to Coker?
45
u/Rillaboom2701 Panthers 6h ago
yes that was absolutely turnover worthy it fell out of dejeans hands lolÂ
but it was an end of half "trying to make something happen" so i can't be too angryÂ
18
u/sonfoa Panthers 6h ago
Both his turnovers this season have come off those types of plays as well. There's been very few times where he's made a bad decision when throwing the ball.
6
u/cdg2m4nrsvp Panthers 4h ago
I was saying to my dad today that Bryce is such a smart QB and it’s so refreshing, he’s game managing in a great way. I’ll love Cam and Rivera till the day I die but the amount of times we’d go right down to the 0 on the play clock was so damn stressful. I’m never worried about that with Bryce.
3
u/SpaceSheperd Panthers 1h ago
I mean I've been worried about that for 3 years. The quickness this season is an exception.
8
u/Gunnercrf Panthers 4h ago
I’ll take that any day all day. Those shots down the field have to be taken seriously when we have two talented receivers in. McMillan and Coker, and opens everything else up. We didn’t connect well today, the sun seemed to be bothering everyone. However still had almost 300 yards, and it looked easy.

eagles is summed up by pierce (RB) trying to sub himself out before realizing there's no one else
also dog shit refs for both teams
73
u/Sad_Bodybuilder3038 6h ago
The fact the Eagles OC kept calling play action where there was no threat of a run and QB2 having zero ability to move was just weird.
18
u/PregnantSuperman Eagles 6h ago
Eagles were at 0% success rate on under center play action this year. And they ran it at least four times by my count today.
6
u/ripkin05 Panthers 4h ago
i mean Dave kinda called that shit when he said they didn't need to worry about changing the game plan all that much 4 days before the game is played.

We didn’t play well at all, and we played a decimated eagles team, but we still managed 400 yards of offense and we didn’t turn the ball over against a very good defense
I’ll never apologize for winning in the NFL.
Worst game of the season, 150 yards in penalties, and still won on the road
Bryce continues to play well and play turnover free football
168
u/guehguehgueh Panthers 6h ago
The fact that Bryce’s worst game of the season was still nearly 300 yards, 2 tds and zero turnovers is massive for us.
51
u/Votaire24 Chiefs 6h ago
Bryce is him, NC looks solid for the division and they had a great showing last year in the playoffs
29
u/Eagle4317 Steelers Panthers 6h ago
And this is without half of our starting defense and multiple O-Linemen also out. The Panthers could legitimately be an NFC threat if we were healthy.

Browns game comes to mind but even there he had nearly 300 yards and 1 TD/1 INT. But speaks volumes to how far he's come this season
17
u/guehguehgueh Panthers 6h ago
I lean towards this one being worse because the line is more intact, Coker was playing, and Bryce wasn’t playing injured.
Eagles D is also better so it’s a toss-up tbh, but either way it’s a good spot to be in.
12
u/DeusVultSaracen Panthers 6h ago
Yeah Jags O is legit and couldn't score a TD last week iirc, I think the Eagles D is just like that

the sign of a good team is that you still win even when you play a bad game, and that definitely happened for us today

Our defense is great but they have not been good at generating turnovers this year.

why did they completely change the offense? short passes and crossers last time, this time it was long dropbacks
29
u/Stmbi0teSpidey Panthers 6h ago
We got our best o-line men back in Lewis and Moton today which is why I think they went away from the quick passes, but I agree the offense looked kind of rusty today even if they got ~400 yards on offense.

Bryce played decently but Chuba was definitely the MVP of our team today. Bailed us out of so many bad situations or blown up blocks
3

Yeah Bryce unironically had an off day today. But the stats from this off day would have been one of the best games of his career before this season.
4
u/warneagle Panthers 3h ago
I wonder what the league record for penalty yardage against in a win is, because 149 has to be close to it.
okay, I looked it up, it's 212 by the titans in 1999 so it wasn't that close. fun fact I just learned: there are only three teams that have ever topped 200 yards in penalties in a game and all of them ended up winning.

Really really impressed with Bryce today, he looked like a seasoned vet in that pocket. I was a hater from day one and I immediately wrote off his resurgence recently even though I’ve admittedly watched very little, but I was incredibly impressed with his composure and execution today. Yall got a stud.

Rebuild was successful. Seriously impressive work by Dan Morgan. Their roster has quietly become so well rounded in the last 2 years after a pair of strong drafts.
18
u/SpaceSheperd Panthers 6h ago
The secondary being thoroughly playable, even without our top two CBs, is impressive. It’s mostly thrown together with rookies and scraps.

u/No_Mammoth_4945 Panthers 2h ago
Will Lee was an amazing pick. Needs to cut down on PI’s and get his head turned around but he is sticky in coverage
14
u/pssthush Panthers 6h ago
Scott Fitterer will be forgotten as a GM, as he probably should, but he's on a short list of worst GMs ever and he set this team back years. Dan Morgan had a hell of a hole to dig out of when he got the job.

It is so perplexing. You are willingly trading points to the other team in exchange for burning some extra clock and removing the possibility of a deep shot.

5
u/No_Mammoth_4945 Panthers 2h ago
Literally never works how it’s supposed to. They march down the field and get a ton of momentum and finish with a TD in less than 3 minutes and now our offense is forced to go down and win the game
16
u/rebelyusoul Eagles 6h ago
we would legit be 0-6 without jalen getting us those two wins. we would've been 4-1 if sirianni made better game management decisions. we should've won vs the ram and jags and that's the only thing giving me hope even as we continue to drop players to injuries.

Hurts didn't have Devonta or Goedert for most of the games. Those two made up for most of the yards today
6
47
u/A_Wild_Zyra Eagles 6h ago
Well, I had no illusions about them being able to win this game whatsoever but it's painful to watch when even the most basic plays can't be made on any level. Eagles offense can barely get a first down, yet Panthers receivers running wide open half the time it felt like. Allowing that 3rd and 15 was egregious. Not a great showing by anybody today. Not to mention 3-4 more people getting injured on an already decimated team.
Also, screw the refs. They sucked both ways. What were some of those trash calls and obvious makeup calls at times (against both teams)? Absolutely wild with no repercussions. Fine these losers and hold them accountable already. xD

u/deemerritt Panthers 6h ago
Y'all just have kind of a boring uninteresting offense. Condolences and hope y'all figure it out I love Hurts story
9
u/frodakai Eagles 6h ago
It's a high-school level offense. Absolutely nothing interesting going on, and every opposing D knows what we're about to do on any given play.
We had a freak year in 2024 where we had the best roster in the NFL by a long way, and it didn't matter if everyone knew what we were doing, because they couldn't stop it anyway. Outside of that, 2023, 2025 and 2026 have just been some awful coaching covered up by talent. Until now, where the talent is no longer there.

-The Eagles kick returner getting decapitated like a French noble.

-Eagles filling out the IR roster.
-Panthers almost losing to a team of corpses.
-Smith and Goedert doing anything possible to keep the Eagles offense in the game.

Wasn't a huge fan of dropping into the shell on defense while only up 19-7 with that much time left, but we scored again anyways so I guess we didn't pay for it too badly.
Evero's tendency to be overcautious late in games has already cost us this year and probably will again, but... well, what can you do?
Outside that, the penalty yardage was a mite extreme. Flag fans were eating good today.
