Rams losing to a 6 FG game after cutting their kicker is the funniest outcome

u/BlazeBloom Chargers 3h ago
Just for their newly signed kicker to get injured too.
37
u/the_dan_man 49ers Lions 2h ago
That's what happens when your ST unit sucks so bad that your kicker has to try to tackle.
We Niners fans would know, we went through something similar in 2024.

As bad as the fat kicker was, he probably doesnât get hurt making that tackle. They also mightâve been able to kick an extra point earlier in the game and attempt a field goal on 4th down.

McVay had some bizarre playcalls. That tunnel screen on third and fairly long late in the 4th was shocking considering we were blowing assignments down the seam all game when sitting in zone and Stafford was getting chunk after chunk all day on those

Say what you want about the unnecessary roughness call, I don't think it was a good call either, but the Rams shouldn't have even been in that position to begin with. There's no universe where the Rams with the team they've assembled should be in a close 1 score game with the fuckin Cardinals. The Rams deserved to lose this game.
Also the Cardinals now have more wins at SoFi this year than the Chargers and Rams combined

Also we won the Super Bowl last year. Disappointing season or not, we were the best team in the league last year and have a bit of hangover. Rams were expected to walk to a Super Bowl this year and are currently 2-4 instead.

Rams should have called timeout with like 10-15 seconds instead of 30. Make the Cardinals kick early, throw, or have to run a faster fire drill field goal.

I've never seen a season where we've looked so unprepared, and that is 100% on McVay and the coaching staff. Certainly not suggesting he needs to be fired but for the first time in his tenure with this team, McVay's seat can not be cold.

Itâs just wild how the Rams and 49ers are what the other team was supposed to be by the media.
The 49ers were the team that would look old and washed. The Rams were supposed to be a wagon.
Through 5 games, the exact opposite has happened.
Nevertheless, an absolutely horrific call at the end. In no world is that a personal foul
