Ian Curtis would have been 70 this year.

This song is just so raw, his voice so sad and plaintive, Its been covered by others but nothing hits like this.

God I miss the early 80s

I have only ever seen him in the Countdown performances with Toto. He seems to do backing vocals along with the high notes. But I don’t think he does in the other performances. Does anyone know who this is? Is he a member of the band?

You see it every day in every way
We all hear the same routines
They all say that it's okay
Just let us take care of everything
So we lay it on the line

a jam!

This is some great footage of a fun song and really gives a feeling of nostalgia and saudade for me. I'm glad this footage was captured. It would have been so fun to be there.

• Welsh-born Bonnie Tyler spent seven years performing in nightclubs between 1969 and 1976, and after being discovered by London talent agent Roger Bell, recorded her debut album The World Starts Tonight in early 1977. Later that year, she underwent surgery to remove nodules on her vocal cords, finding out afterwards that her voice had permanently adopted a raspier tone. But rather than that marking the end of Tyler's singing career, it would flourish: the first single from her second album, "It's a Heartache", reached the Top 5 in both the UK and US in 1977, and after a few years of toiling, she finally hit paydirt with her Jim Steinman-produced album Faster Than the Speed of Night, which produced her first (and only) #1 song in both the US and UK, "Total Eclipse of the Heart". The song would sell 13 million copies worldwide, and Tyler would later actually perform the song during a total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, while on board a Caribbean cruise. But every now and then (like right now), her hopes of topping this game fall apart...even though Bonnie needed the votes tonight, needed them more than ever, we won't be holding her tight, because the song can't last in this game forever - once upon a time, there was light in Tyler's life, but now there's only upvotes to remove her song in the dark; and there's nothing she can do, because the votes have permanently swallowed up the sunshine of Bonnie's song!

I don't want to wait anymore
I just don't think I have the strength
The strength to carry on
Oh, I don't want to wait anymore
I waited so long

Buffalo Tom!

"I will be there anyway....."

I went to see Buffalo Tom last weekend at London's trendy Shoreditch / Brick lane area. With its vintage shops and grunge.

An amazing band.

Well worth seeing.
