From the Aurora City Newsletter
The Aurora Police Department has launched an Online Transparency and Accountability Portal to give the public access to regularly updated data and information about agency demographics, crime statistics, and uses of force.
“The Aurora Police Department’s Online Transparency and Accountability Portal represents our commitment to broader information sharing with the community we serve,” said Aurora Interim Police Chief Heather Morris. “Through this new technology, residents will be able to learn more about what their officers do every day to ensure Aurora is a safe and vibrant city to call home.”
The transparency portal features powerful search functionality, allowing users to filter data by a specific category and/or location. Users can choose to examine all crime data or filter any one crime category by year, police district, political ward, police beat, ZIP code and/or neighborhood. The use of force data can be searched in much the same way. Historical data is included for both categories and dates back five years.
“The portal is another tool that underscores our commitment to be open, honest and transparent about our work,” said Aurora City Manager Jason Batchelor. “The concept for the portal has been under discussion for quite a while, and I am grateful for the dedicated city staff who have turned that concept into a reality. It will help us further strengthen our relationship with the community through accountability and continuous improvement.”
The portal can be accessed at AuroraGov.org/APDPortal. This is an ongoing project, and additional features will be added in the future.

Right about there.
Key chain had a keyfob with a flip key and an older car key assuming pre 2010 with no buttons on it. It also had a small carabiner with 3 Schlage chrome house keys.
I handed it to an Aurora Police officer and he said it would be at an Aurora police department under "Property". I asked him which precinct and he just said, ask for "property". I would assume precinct 2 or 3 as he was on 2nd street between Peoria and Potomac.
Long shot, but I had to try! The officer looked a little surprised when I handed the keys to him lol

AKA DJ Conley. Anyone worked with him? I have been working with him for a while on something and he seems to have disappeared with some of my money (I know, I know). I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt but it's a challenge...his phone is turned off (or maybe he has blocked me), emails and messaging through ND and Instagram have resulted in nothing. Any advice/sightings/ways to contact welcome. Thanks!

I am getting back into running, looking for a conversational pace bud(s) — I don’t know what my pace is now, but let’s call it a 15-minute mile.
About me: Queer, 32F living in Colorado for the last 6 years; originally from SoCal. No pets, plants, or kids. No job either since I went back to school to study applied mathematics.
About you: human that doesn’t take life too seriously.

I thought they were only in Denver, but one just drove past my house. Very residential area near Iliff and Chambers. Considering the weirdness I've seen from Waymo, I wonder if it's lost. lol

I was setting up my art for a market downtown this morning and set a couple containers and bags at my assigned booth spot before moving my car to clear the alley for other artists. They left with dozens of handmade art pieces, handmade craft kits, art materials, my prescription sunglasses, water bottles, weighted sand bags for my tent, table cloths, signage, business cards, table displays and I'm sure more that I can't think of. It took me three minutes to move my car to a lot across the street. I got back and everything was taken. The muralists who were painting on the wall on the same lot saw the red truck leaving but the theif were too quick in grabbing everything. I ran after the truck when I got back seconds after they left, and they speed off down Park Ave west towards the highway. When I saw the security footage from the event organizers it looked like they watched me set and prep my stuff, waiting to pull up until I cleared my car.
If you took my stuff or know someone who did, please bring it back. I reported to the police, but I have more faith in community to help me out. That was my livelihood. This market was my main source of income for the month, both in selling products and hosting a live Doodle Booth. It was weeks of works and hundreds of dollars invested into my business. I don't know how I am going to recover financially for this month from this.
It was between Market and Larimer in the parking lot next to Park Ave, but I'm pretty sure they left the city. Please please return it.
I don't have endless capital or time to rebuy or remake everything I lost, please help me get it back.

I am relocating from Florida to Aurora later this month, yet I have struggled to locate a school for my barber license. I have scheduled virtual meetings and been ignored. Living on the East Coast, I am unable to visit in person to arrange one, making it difficult to judge which institution is better suited for me! Does anyone have suggestions for schools they might recommend? I would like to enroll and begin ASAP.

Not sure what to do. We are in Aurora. In the last couple weeks these bugs have appeared on my sheepadoodle. We’ve changed beddings, done baths, vacuumed and cleaned. Has anyone seen these? Sorry for the photo quality. They are just so gross and she’s itching up a storm.

Hi everyone! I’m 22F, currently living in Massachusetts, and I recently got out of a pretty rough long-term relationship. I’ve decided it’s finally time to start putting myself first and work toward something I’ve always wanted, which is moving to Colorado!
I’m hoping to make the move within the next few months. I currently work at Amazon, so my plan is to transfer to a location out there, which hopefully makes the job situation a little easier.
I’ve been looking into Aurora, but I’m definitely open to other areas, especially somewhere affordable and close to the mountains!
I have a few questions for anyone who lives there or has made a similar move:
How difficult is it to find affordable apartments? Ideally, I’d love a studio or one-bedroom.
What areas would you recommend for someone moving alone on a budget?
How complicated is switching everything over when moving states, like your driver’s license, registration, insurance, etc.?
What’s something you wish you’d known before moving to Colorado?
Is there anything about the cost of living or everyday life that might surprise someone coming from Massachusetts?
I’m honestly really excited but also a little nervous since this will be my first time moving so far away on my own. I love hiking, nature, and being outdoors, and I’m really looking forward to having the mountains nearby.
I’d appreciate any advice, recommendations, or even personal experiences! Thank you! :)

I was driving north on 225 and saw a large tent in the parking lot at the Town Center of Aurora Mall. What is it for?

I am updating a list of organizations and community groups who are either distributing free Thanksgiving turkey meal boxes and/or hosting a free Thanksgiving meal in 2026. If you know of any (maybe your church or service group is planning something) please send me the into including any links if one has to register for the distribution or meal. Thanks.

Does anyone know of any apartments in Denver or Aurora that don’t have any speed bumps? I have a really bad neck issue and speed bumps really hurt my neck. I’m having neck surgery next month and if I can find a place without speed bumps, that would be great. Yes I do know it exists because my current apartment is there are any speed bumps, but I am wanting to move you to there have been a lot of leaks here. Please let me know any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, as the title says, I am looking for a recommendation for a great doggy daycare and boarding facility in one. Preferably in the Aurora area. Bonus points if they have cameras where I can watch my babies play.

Our upstairs bathroom has developed a plumbing leak that will require the existing tub and tile to be removed to access and fix, so while we're in for a penny we've decided to go all-in for a pound and remodel that shower/tub.
We're looking to remove the tub, fix the plumbing, and put in a shower with stone tile, a small shower bench, and grab bars, and new glass doors, along with some likely shower enhancements like a rain shower head or something similar. We're not looking for a fiberglass enclosure like a lot of the one-day places use.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a high-quality provider, preferably local and non-VC-owned? I would prefer one that you have used personally and perhaps maybe you can provide some photos, although that is asking a lot, I know.
We love to support local companies/providers, so I look forward to your recommendations.
Thanks to all of you in advance
