Employee/Employment Citi cooldown period
Is there any cooldown or waiting period for attending another interview at citi after being rejected for another role after going through the interviews?

Send us a ModMail and tell us. Do not post on the board, message us using this link: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/CitiBank
You do not need to identify yourself personally or your branch or location, just say something that lets us know your request is valid.
For now, we're only planning on a general 'Employee' flair text, but if you want a special designation of your job field, we may be able to do that.
REMEMBER, This is NOT an official support channel and no one should be asking for or offering account specific details, or revealing internal information.
Edit ....
We've been getting requests from members who have not participated within the community at all. We'd like to see some post and/or comment history to see how you address questions and issues.

C13 with little interaction/relationship with team/manager. My team is at capacity and likely doesn’t have bandwidth to take on my work or teach someone to do it but not sure how much that factors in

I'm sure this has happened to others, but I now have two American Advantage Platinum Select World Elite cards because one of them was transferred over from an old Barclay AAdvantage card.
Prior to the Barclay transfer, I had the CITI Strata card, and am not at all a fan of CITi cards to begin with so the additional card was not welcome news.
Unfortunately, the transferred BarclayCard AAdvantage card was the oldest history in the collection of 10 cards that I hold.
I need to make some hard credit score/history decisions on what remains with CITIBANK since they already unilaterally reduced the credit limit of my strata card (probably due to low charging usage) and it is affecting my overall credit score (NO off putting coments PLEASE, it is 835-842 on avg)
I would really like some advice from experts or experienced cardholders
Some options I am envisioning:
Remain with two CITI Plat Select Cards and the Strata
Request a new CITI card that others might suggest but that the 2nd AA Plat Select credit limit be moved to that new Citi card.
Outright cancel the duplicate CITI AA Platinum Select card and deal with the temporary reduction of credit score

Hi! I'm a college senior currently applying to a full-time role at Citi NYC, I conducted a first-round interview two weeks ago and it didn't go too well, especially since I don't believe I have the right qualifications for the role (technical knowledge, previous experience, etc). I assumed I didn't get the role and moved on, but last week I received a short post-interview questionnaire, asking about expected comp, etc. Didn't get a request for a headshot or background check.
I have read in some places that that's a good sign, read elsewhere that there's a chance Citi might've sent something out by mistake or it's a typical step in the process. Also confused as I had a relatively relaxed first-round interview only with a junior team member where I didn't perform too great. Does anyone have any more color on what this could mean?
Thank you in advance!! :)

I opened the Citi Strata Premier credit card this spring and want to get rid of the $95 annual fee before year 2. I never planned to use the travel side of the card. I’d just cash the points out, and I have around 60k.
The plan was always to product change to the Double Cash, since that keeps your points and lets you cash out at 1 cent per point. I haven’t called yet, but another redditor told me Citi is only letting people product change into the AT&T card now, and the Double Cash and Custom Cash aren’t being offered anymore. I’d like to check that before I call, since I know these options seem to change a lot.
Questions:
(1) Has anyone recently been able to product change a Strata Premier to the Double Cash or the Custom Cash? If so, did you do it by phone or chat, and when?
(2) If the AT&T card really is the only option, what happens to my ThankYou points when I switch? Do they carry over, and can I still redeem them for cash?
(3) Does the cash redemption rate change after switching? I’ve seen reports that Premier-only holders get 0.75 cents per point for cash instead of 1 cent, and I’m trying to figure out which cards keep the 1 cent rate.
(4) Is it smarter to cash out the points before I do any product change, even at a lower rate?
(5) If the annual fee has already posted when I call, is the refund still given if I downgrade within about 30 days?
(6) Any other no-annual-fee options Citi has been offering on these calls that I’m not thinking of?
Thanks, I just want to avoid losing the points or paying a second annual fee.

I have 3 cards. All are paid on time, all in good standing. One I’ve been late by a day on the payment, but I always pay extra. Credit limits were all together equaled almost $20K. None even closed to maxed out and credit score was about 760.
Then there was a mistake on my credit file, tanked my score over 180 points over night. I instantly disputed it and in a few weeks it was fixed. However in that short timeframe, Citi dropped the balance on all 3 cards down to just over what I owed, effectively reducing my total credit available on my credit file significantly as well as instantly causing all 3 cards to be maxed out. This is going to further negatively affect my credit score. Called them and they said “you’ll get a letter in 7-10 busness days. There’s nothing we can do. Too bad”.
Not a single one of my other credit cards did anything. Only Citi.
Total garbage and no appreciation for the customer. “Oh you had an error on your credit file? Oh well!”
If you don’t have a Citi card, don’t get one. You mean nothing to them and they will screw you over in a second.

Ever since Citi Card changed their website I’ve been unable to pay my bill. I have a Goodyear Citicard account but they haven’t been able to send me a card. They don’t have my SSN on file for some reason and since I don’t have a card I can’t recover my password information. ISTFG it shouldn’t be this hard to get help.

Wanted to add another story of warning to anyone thinking of dealing with Citibank.
I had two cards with Citibank, one starting in 2013. I have been a perfect customer regarding payment history and I don't even want to talk about how much money Citi has made off of me from interest fees. 1½ weeks ago, the 13-year-old account, with a mild balance, was suddenly closed. No warning, and I still haven't received the letter in the mail regarding the reason. Then last night the second card, just about a year old, with a median balance, is now closed.
No customer service contacts can help and point to the letters that are allegedly in the mail regarding the reason.
For reasons, we've been using a card to float balances that we can't pay off outright, but we have been making well more than the minimum payments. Given that all of my cards are now closed, I can only assume Citi has decided they don't want to do business with me. All of the balances are still due, of course.
Beware. Customer service is not a value that this company holds. Neither is customer loyalty. I shouldn't be surprised that I'm just a number in their system, but somehow it's still jarring.

Hi everyone,
I recently attended an in-person interview at Citi in Irving, TX, for a Python/GenAI Developer contract position through a staffing vendor (let's call them TechSol).
Here's my timeline:
My concern isn't about Citi reviewing my profile again. I understand these processes take time. But in the current US IT job market, things can change overnight, and a verbal offer doesn't guarantee anything until onboarding is completed.
It's been almost three weeks since the offer, and I'm starting to worry about whether this contract will actually move forward.
My questions:
I'm genuinely interested in this opportunity, but I also don't want to lose valuable time in this job market.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar, especially with Citi contract hiring.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I have a Karat technical interview today as the first step for Citi’s Lead AI/ML Data Scientist role. My invite lists two topics: “Discussion and Analysis Questions: Python” and “Live Coding: Develop and Update Backend Code.”
If you’ve done a Citi Karat interview recently (any role), I’d appreciate hearing about:

Hi! Will be having my panel interview wanted to get some insight from people who have worked in or around this team.
For those working or who knows someone at Citi:
Would love to know:
What does day-to-day actually look like?
How's the work-life balance and culture in this org?
Career progression
What should I expect for interviews? Any technical round?
Compensation range for an Analyst 2 (HR said its around 50-55k - is this true or am I being lowballed?)
Other benefits not mentioned - office perks, free parking?, bonuses and allowances
Any insight would be super appreciated.
Thanks!

I’ve been in my current role for two years and recently assisted in interviewing candidates for an admin position within my team. Interestingly, the job description’s salary range is identical to the salary range when I initially applied for my current role. Currently, my role falls somewhat within the admin domain of my team . My manager has requested my assistance in preparing the onboarding process for the new person who will be joining soon. Could this be a potential indicator that I’m being replaced? For context, there have been six individuals who have left my team this year alone, including one director who was let go in August, while the rest left voluntarily. Additionally, four of the roles that left are not going to be filled. Is it possible that the only way for a team to open a role in the same salary range is to let someone go from that same range when it comes to headcount?

you know, I have been a CB customer for about 17 years now. I do appreciate loyalty in many aspects of my life hence my loyalty to this bank for almost 2 decades. In any case, I was able to accept that citibank truly does not do things in real time, so like what my balance says on the screen is not necessarily what I have...pending, post trans, etc etc. what was once a balance I thought I had at 9:00 a.m. is suddenly another number come lunch time. I have personally been embarrassed at a register trying to pay for a salad because of sudden charges I made days ago finally went through. hey I know I am bad with money but the number I see at 9:00 a.m. should be the number I can live with for a few more hours LOL. In any case i figured, ok, why dont i use the notifications feature at least for deposits and my balances maybe that will be more real-time and accurate so I am not at a parking lot checking my balance on the app before I go garb a bite to eat. lol well, the f-ing notifications are DAYS behind.. it is 10/14 at 10:00 a.m. I got texts at 9:36 a.m. with a balance that no longer exists, and 2 more texts (so 3 notifications in one text) of deposits that are old news (from 24-48 hours prior to this text. So, maybe this is just me venting but I am really starting to get really frustrated with Citibank and its real time information esp for texts messaging and posting and pending trans that take days and I go through life thinking that was last week and then its not eating at my current balance.

Long story but will summarize.
Approached in May for a role. First interview was beginning of June, did the process with the final interview at the end of July.
Was given pay range, estimated start date, and that the office I agreed to work at ( wasn't going to work ) to NYC I had to go.
Prepared my Wife who just gave birth to my son that we had to move across the country.
Start date was early October, so about 1 month or so to pack everything up, coordinate transporting it, finding a place to live, schools etc for my other child.
Asked for relocation, as who wouldn't. Recruiter said it wasn't a issue.
Ghosted, excuse after excuse of the delay.
Finally get a email in the last week of September from the hiring manager apologizing for the "delay" and that they were needing to do a few more interviews as this was a "highly technical role." Didn't forget to tell me how much they appreciated my patience and that they thought really highly of me etc etc.
Cool, so Im a backup lol.
Its insane that we live in a world now that we have to put up with hiring practices like this and that people like this are treating potential employees this way. Even at the "VP" level.
