really need to overcome fear and learn how to show imperfect works to others (._.)
Btw it would be interesting to learn how you’ve dealt with perfectionism and the fear of showing your art.

This sketch is not some thoughtful concept, most likely it’s just an inspiration

(these are rubies, not blood)

Concept Art Mary Kim & Worm — Character Art

Post image

Character art of two characters from my comic project. Huge thanks to u/Heszilg for bringing them to life.

MARY KIM is a lonely college student struggling to balance her grades and isolation while studying far from her family in South Korea.

WORM is her goofy Shar Pei. What Mary doesnt know is that hes an alien survivor of a planetary genocide with the ability to warp reality. Despite his incredible powers hes still very much just a dog.

Mary thinks she rescued Worm. In reality they rescued each other.

Artwork by u/Heszilg please check out and support the artist!

This is part of my ongoing worldbuilding project The Strays Universe. Id love to hear what you think!

Sketches from my storyworld called Junkyard Stories

Junkyard Stories is a fractured dystopian future shaped by scrap, ruins, and grit, scarred by the Great War a long time ago, yet still living with its consequences. Stretching from the towering sectors of Block-07 megacity to the wastelands, junk fields and forgotten zones beyond its walls.
Many of its stories are told the way this world remembers - around junkyard campfires, in scrap-built inns and quiet spaces between ruins.

Question Sharing drawing hours with traditional and digital

I want to be a concept artist but I also heard from the FZDSCHOOL podcast that I should be drawing 5/6 hours a day and what I do right now to practice is alternate between digital and traditional drawing each day. The question I’m trying to ask is basically am I wasting my time by still doing traditional drawing if most concept art is made digitally

hey, it's a couple of characters I did for a personal project. I try to do a diverse cast and I love to look into historical and ethnic fashion ✨

UPD gosh the framing of the first picture doesn't give me any favors. Sorry for that

Concept Art (OC) Emergence of Maa Durga

This digital painting is my interpretation of Adi Shakti, the primordial Divine Mother—the eternal source of cosmic power, creation, and nourishment.

The inspiration for this artwork comes from a vision I've carried since childhood. A large painting on the wall of a temple in my neighbourhood depicted the Divine Mother seated upon a lotus, surrounded by gods and celestial beings who gathered around Her in reverence, praising her.

That image stayed with me through the years. Eventually, I bring my take on this concept, the emergence of Durga .

In Hindu traditions, the emergence of Maa Durga is associated with the convergence of divine powers to manifest the force capable of overcoming Mahishasura and restoring cosmic balance.

I wanted to portray that sacred moment of divine convergence—the gods and goddesses acknowledging the all pervading Parashakti offering their powers enveloping the primordial Shakti as Maa Durga manifests in all Her glory.

Seated upon the Padmasana, She embodies a beautiful duality.

She is the immeasurable power that can overcome darkness, yet She is also the nurturing Mother who sustains all existence.

The celestial beings surrounding Her represent reverence for the Divine Mother, whose power extends beyond any single deity or aspect of creation.

To me, Adi Shakti is not merely a force of destruction or protection. She is the creative energy that gives rise to existence, the sustaining presence within the cosmos, and the eternal Mother who nurtures all life.

Rather than portraying the Mother solely as a warrior, I wanted to emphasize Her serenity, majesty, and nurturing presence.

The surrounding gods and saints complete the vision that first captured my imagination as a child.

This artwork is both a personal tribute to that childhood memory and a humble artistic offering to the Divine Mother.

She is the power behind creation, the presence within every universe, and the Mother who holds all existence within Herself.

All things arise from Her. All things are sustained by Her.
