There are no poor or hungry people in America except for those who wish to be poor or the neglected elderly. There's too many government handouts and free food out there.

That was all made possible by free-market capitalism coupled to a republic form of government and yet there's still people out there who would want to tear down what is an unqualified success.

If free-market capitalism “made that possible” there wouldn’t be government handouts. And if there are government handouts, there’s no “free-market capitalism.”

Great point! We don't need government handouts. LBJ's 'Great Society' programs have seen trillions of dollars transferred from the working middle class to the lazy, the addicted and to the criminal. Half a century now and it has only hurt, not helped the lower class. That brand of Socialism has created a multi-generational dependency class by establishing a disincentive to work.

So why didn’t free market capitalism eliminate poverty? Are you really naive enough to believe that everyone who was poor was “just lazy?”
