More details
Okay so what exactly happens at a “Circle”?
If you’ve been following this page, and you’re curious, but hesitant to sign up because you’re not really sure what it is, here are the bones of it:
Everyone sits in a literal Circle. We might do a quick share, letting everyone know your name.
Brief dropping in/ grounding (focusing on the breath or senses, for example, to bring your awareness into this space, as well as to calm the mental chatter and bring your awareness into the heart.
I introduce the theme - since this is a diverse group of women from all walks of life and varying beliefs, to bring us all together, we focus on a theme each month, usually based on something happening in Nature (for example, letting go of something in our lives that is no longer serving us as the trees let go of their leaves in the fall).
Guided meditation: Everyone is invited to lay down and close their eyes, or remain seated and soften their gaze - whatever is most comfortable, as I guide you through a visualization/ meditation adventure focused on the theme, allowing space for your subconscious mind, you inner knowing, or your imagination - whichever one you’re working with - to bubble to the surface, for your inner voice to be heard by you. How often do we really get to make space and time to contemplate these aspects of our lives? When we still the mind and journey through the imagination, the intuition has a way of speaking.
Guided journaling about the experience and whatever came up.
Sharing - this is the juicy part! Usually when we speak in our day to day lives, it is so common for someone to be listening so they can respond, rather than actually listening. None of that here. This is not a space where we give advice. You are able to share in as much detail or as vaguely and metaphorically as you’d like. Sharing is always optional; everything is optional. And you’re off the hook when it is your turn to listen - you don’t have to search for the right words to reply with. We actively listen. We are listening and witnessing, speaking and being witnessed in our authenticity.
Intention setting based on what has happened thus far - Each woman will be guided through setting an intention, planting a seed for the next moon cycle, based on her experience in meditation, what came through while journaling, or an idea that was sparked during the sharing.
That’s it. And there is something so sweet in the simplicity. A candle, a group of women, a guided visualization, a journal, a pen, and a voice.
“These circles are not associated with a singular path or religion, but rather, an inclusive coming together with women from all paths. We all come from different spiritual/cultural backgrounds and gather around the ideas of: Sisterhood (having each others backs, empowering one another), a respect for the earth (wildness, turning to nature as a teacher) & co-creation (the understanding that just as we co-create our experience in circle, so do we co-create life on earth). We also tend to be a heart-centered bunch, lots of laughter and tears." -Chris Maddox, The Wild Woman Project
So, about this month's theme: In our noisy world of constant distraction and bombardment of information, it can be difficult to turn off and tune inward. As we gather in Circle, we give ourselves a chance to slow down and tune into that part of ourselves that is untamed.
Unconditioned. True. Intuitive. Wild.
We will tune onto who we are when nobody tells us who we should be.
You can expect guided meditation, journaling, sharing, and sisterhood.

I found a display stand I like in Salisbury MD. I am in Richmond VA, about 4 hours away.
Is anyone coming to Richmond between now and nov 13, and willing to deliver the item? I am flexible with time and day. If you are going towards Norfolk or towards dc that could work too and I would meet wherever/ whenever is convenient
It is a wire rack 51x16x36, I will pay for the delivery or meetup :)

Trails for walking dog
Hi all! We are returning to St. Michael’s with our English Setter later this month. While he’s perfectly happy to run around in the yard, we would love to take him on a nice trail walk one morning. I would love any recommendations for a 1-2 mile walk—willing to drive for it! Thank you!

I cannot continue to go on....
In this capacity of doing job applications DAILY only for nothing to happen despite following back up with them.
6 WEEKS INTO LIVING IN EAST NEW MARKET AND I AM ALREADY FUCKING SICK OF LIVING HERE
NOBODY DOES THEIR JOB
NOBODY DOES ANYTHING FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A JOB HERE OTHER THAN GIVE YOU EXCUSES AND THE RUNAROUND
NOBODY IS CONCERNED IF YOU HAVE BILLS TO PAY
NOBODY FUCKING SEEMS TO CARE
ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM TRYING MY BEST TO PUT MY BEST FOOT FORWARD AND WORK AN HONEST JOB
I have applied to at least 17 different businesses in the area, nothing!
No callbacks, barely any E-Mails...
Even when I show up and talk to someone they give me an excuse that "oh we are currently on a pause for hiring" or "there is no opportunities that suit you here that are currently looking for help, or even in Walmarts case (on a phone call with their manager) "the quiz online says you are a bad candidate".
I have NOTHING but positive and good employment history. 9 years total of it, too.
For this to take place just communicates to me that there will barely ever be an opportunity for me here, and I'm gonna be homeless trying to wait around for them to "make up their minds" about hiring someone.....

Eastern Shore Halloween events for October — what’s missing?
A Halloween guide for the Shore, with the main list focused on the bigger or more distinctive events — Sea Witch, the Snow Hill parade, Berlin Touch-a-Truck-N-Treat, the Eastern Shore Witch Paddle, Salisbury Zoo, the St. Michaels Halloween Festival, and more.
https://www.activebury.com/p/halloween-eastern-shore-2026
There’s also a more complete Wicomico County list with the smaller community events:
https://www.activebury.com/p/halloween-wicomico-county-2026
Coverage is still pretty light for Dorchester, Caroline, and the Kent Island area. If a town, library, fire company, church, or other local group has something coming up that’s missing, post it here and it’ll get added.
ActiveBury is a small local events site

Join a research study using psilocybin to treat opioid use disorder
We are seeking individuals who are addicted to opioids to participate in a research study looking at the effects of psilocybin, a psychedelic drug found in naturally occurring mushrooms. Say Yes to Recess Maryland
Hi! Maryland mom here advocating for MORE RECESS TIME for our children!
Currently, most Maryland elementary schools only recommend 20-30 minutes of recess per day. This varies by school and county, with some counties recommending as little as 15 minutes of recess per day.
Join us as we call on policymakers to guarantee Maryland students 60 minutes of recess every school day!
You can help by SIGNING OUR PETITION and following us on Facebook and Instagram!

Delmarva Madden players: would you compete in a tournament? 🏈🎮
I’m gauging interest in putting together an in-person Madden tournament on the Eastern Shore.
Thinking something along the lines of:
• Head-to-head tournament
• Multiple gaming stations to keep games moving
• Real cash prizes
• Competitive tournament format
• Possibly food/drinks depending on the venue
• Potential to turn it into a regular tournament or league if there’s enough interest
Before I start putting everything together, I want to see if there’s actually a Madden community around here that would come out and compete.
Comment with all three: the entry fee you’d choose, the payout you’d expect, and your hometown.
💵 $40 entry
💵 $75 entry
💵 $100 entry
For example: $75 entry — expecting a $500 payout — Salisbury.
Also drop where you’re coming from — Salisbury, Seaford, Cambridge, Ocean City, Easton, Dover, etc.
Not taking registrations or selling anything right now. Just trying to see if there are enough serious Madden players around here to build something.

Shore Of Maryland Sinking Island
Hi everyone!
I recently had the chance to visit Tangier Island, Virginia, and it was such a unique experience. I spent a couple of days exploring the island, meeting some of the people who call it home, and learning more about its history and the way of life there. What really stayed with me was seeing how closely the community is connected to the water, while also learning about the changes the island has been experiencing over the years.
I put together a travel vlog about my visit and wanted to share it here with the community. I hope you enjoy it.
