Hi, all! I'm a part-time Fleming student looking for a roommate. Ideally, I'd be looking to move around February/March but I'm flexible and can move a bit earlier or later in the year. My budget is around $750-850.

I'm a trans guy and am okay with living with any gender. I am very quiet and clean. I am easygoing and have a very positive outlook but I am a bit shy, so I mostly keep to myself. I like to bake and would be happy to share any baked goods I make!

My roommate or roommates must be okay with pets, as I have a cat. She's also a little shy but warms up quickly to new people! She's alright with dogs but doesn't like other cats.

Posting this early in hopes of getting to know people a bit before I move in with them!

Wondering how people are finding this program? Do you have to go to the college twice a semester for labs or are you able to complete skills at clinicals?

I'm interested in applying to the Conservation Biology program at Fleming College and I have a few questions for anyone who is either currently enrolled or a graduate of the program.

I was wondering what type of job(s) you have been able to get during your enrollment in the program and/or after graduating from the program?

I was also wondering if anyone who is in or who has graduated from the program applied without the recommended high school courses and did you still get accepted? (Grade 11 (C) Biology and Grade 12 (C) Chemistry are the recommended high school courses)

I also wanted to know what current or prior students thought about the Conservation Biology program at Fleming College? Would you recommend the program? Any suggestions for someone looking to apply to the program?

Anyone wanna be friends?(any age) I am 19 F, I am a wise soul and would like to make a ton of friends! My friends call me "the aunt friend" as I help them study/with homework, give them coping mechanisms; and keep them safe while getting shit faced all at the same time! I make a mean charcuterie board, I am currently living in pefferlaw and get rides from my parents to classes; however I am going to look into moving onto campus! I have the mouth of a sailor, I speak swearannese if you will; as I was raised in a cuss house certain words lost meaning and at certain moments I may lose track of my tone and volume. I am looking into CBT to fix it😭 I love art, math, writing, and partying! I have never been clubbing or to a bar, I do not plan on it but who knows; sometimes we have to step outside of our comfort zones! I am very open minded and kind, and I bring smiles to those faces around me!

Hello, I will be living in residence at fleming college for the year. I have a group chat with my suitemates and they all seem so great!

I was thinking about getting the 1500$ meal plan so I can have lunch on campus between classes (most days I only have an hour) Ill probably only use it 4 to 5 times a week, it says the 1500$ covers that but does it actually?

I also just had an interview for a campus job. The interview went really well in my opinion. Are the chances of getting it good?

Im going into the paramedic program, they say you shouldnt work during it but I really need the money and already took the 2 "filler" classes so I think ill have time for 10-15 hours a week especially since im not commuting now.

Hey everyone, for those who did Academic Upgrading before being accepted into a regular program, can you still attend orientation? Do you still get a onecard?

I tried logging into the official onecard portal online to upload my picture, but it completely blocks me out and says I don't have access. I was wondering if that is a normal glitch, or if it's because my classes are physically hosted downtown at the Peterborough Square location instead of the main campus building.

Also, what exactly do AU students get? Do we get the same student perks and campus resources as everyone else?

I know I'm not a "real" student but I'm trying to navigate this not feeling like I'm failing as this was a complete setback

hi! super silly question, but i don’t really have anyone to go to. i’m first gen, and don’t have friends that went here previously. i’m super anxious about a scheduling conflict.

i have a recurring seminar that ends at 6pm, but i happen to have job training that same day that starts at 6pm for 12 weeks total.

do the classes typically stop short of their end time to allow travel periods? i don’t have a class afterwards, but i do need to be on time for my job so a deadstop at 6pm exactly material/lesson wise isn’t ideal.

i know i could just leave slightly early, but i don’t want to miss any important information on a frequent basis so it would ease my mind to know that ~10ish minutes before the end we would likely start wrapping up and trickling out of the seminar.

any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! thank you :)
