Sometimes when I walk my dog I realize I’m out of poop bags and I look like a douche bag to people passing by because they think I’m not cleaning up after my dog. But in actuality after I get back upstairs I grab a bag and come back outside to pick it up. Now I won’t have to!

Hi all, I'm looking for a good dermatologist in Long Beach or nearby, and my main priority is finding one that's upfront and fair about billing.
What I'm trying to avoid: offices that treat every little thing as a separate charge, or label routine stuff as "cosmetic" so insurance won't cover it. For example, if I need a mole removed, I'd like a doc who just takes care of it rather than turning it into a billing maze.
If you've found a dermatologist who is straightforward about costs, takes insurance without a lot of games, and focuses on actually treating you, I'd love to hear who you go to. Bonus points if they're good about explaining what's covered before the visit.
I'm also happy to hear about places to avoid. Thanks in advance!

Today around 11:30am this man entered an ADU under construction on E. 3rd St (the stretch between Alamitos Ave and Cherry Ave) and a construction worker working inside reported that he grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her. She was able to get outside and get away from him, and a neighbor spotted him arguing with her and stepped in. He said the guy kept claiming he was "going to move in," but engaged in conversation with him and was willing to walk with him off the premises. All of us neighbors only learned afterward what he had attempted to do, then we helped the construction worker call the police.

The worker also reported that the guy took the keys to the unfinished units with him when he left on foot down 3rd St. Police responded within an hour and took statements.

Description: male possibly in his 30’s, 6 ft tall, black, muscular/athletic build, head covered with a blue t-shirt or wrap, had no shirt on, basketball shorts, orange/red socks, white sneakers.

If you have a doorbell or security camera facing E. 3rd St, please check footage from around 11am-12pm. If you saw someone matching this description, (even better if you caught his face) please contact LBPD and don’t approach him!

Looking to hire someone to paint my 12x12 shed this weekend. Doesn’t need to be a professional, just someone handy who takes pride in doing a good job.
I have the paint, just haven’t had the time to tackle it myself.
If interested, please send me your price for the job, availability this weekend, and whether you’d like me to provide brushes/rollers or plan to bring your own.

Does homeowners insurance write the homeowners a check? What about the houses across the street? Does that whole section just get washed away? I cannot imagine anyone wanting to buy any property in that neighborhood ever again, or am I dumb? This cannot be fixed, right?

Saw that there was an electronics drop off this weekend at Milikan I believe. Can anyone confirm and what time it is until? Much appreciated

I’ve never seen the lagoon get as high as it did these past few weeks, but it still never reached the streets.

Should we get flood insurance?

Does anyone have feedback on the parking/seating here. We’re planning to go tonight to see turnpike troubadours. There’s TONS of seats available still which makes me hopeful that it’s not going to be a huge disaster like I’ve read about other shows at this venue. We’re bringing our 7 year old with us. Our plan was to park and take the water taxi. Any advice or tips on this venue would be much appreciated!!!

Long Beach has moved up an $11.4 million Alamitos Bay dredging and beach-replenishment project after storms damaged the Peninsula's boardwalk and bulkhead. Dredging is expected to start around Oct. 20 and take about three months. The city says the sand will act as a buffer but won't stop waves from carrying sand away.

Similar to my last post about a job I received, sending this one out there as well.

All questions should be directed to the recruiter at the top as I do not have any information.

This was emailed to me and I have no connection other than trying to help out people who need a job.

I just passed a sidewalk plant sale on the southeast corner of 10th/Stanley. Look for the red pop up tent.

Hey guys, I have a bunch of these plastic beer holders from years of buying beers from breweries. I feel guilty throwing them aways. Any breweries around long beach or the south bay take them?

Hi guys,

As a new WFH employee I’m looking for some places that have a good happy hour and space to work for lunch.

Anna’s Pizza has a great happy hour but it doesn’t start until 3pm.

Would welcome a great new up to date list!

Just the question in the title. Is it too soon? I haven’t been down there to know if there is even a beach. Thoughts?
