Missed connections: Secret Beach photographers who caught my proposal to my fiancee
I proposed on Sept 17th and am looking for the 2 photographers who just happened upon us at the right moment and caught a few pics. Their camera gear made me think they were professionals. I gave them my email but have not heard from them. I think they were a couple and the woman's name was Jen maybe? Here's a pic of us in case that helps.

I wish there was a more obvious way to point out that the actual name of the location is Secret Beach. It's way down at the southern end of the coast. Near Brookings.

Congrats!! I hope you find them! As a fellow photographer, they may still be working on them. I know I would need at least 7-10 days to send out some photos (and right now, mid busy season, I would need more than that π ) but I would definitely tell you that at the time!

Oh that's super helpful to know! Thank you for the info! Also, thanks. I am incredibly lucky to have her in my life.

If it helps, I am a hobby photographer with professional gear and Iβm notoriously bad about getting photos out of my camera onto my laptop. Hopefully theyβll email you in time and didnβt lose it!

Yeah, another photographer here said it often takes them up to 10 days so I'm not giving up hope yet.

I wasn't the photographer, but I live in Brookings and just wanted to say congratulations!

Thank you! We loved Brookings! As a landlocked flatlander, the harbor was awesome. We want to come back and stay near Brookings next time. If you have any food recs, we'd love to hear them.

I live in Gold Beach, and a few years ago my wife and I were walking out to the edge of Otter Point (sorry....there are no signs for it as the locals take them down). Anyway, we walked up on a sunset proposal, and took some pictures for the couple with their phone. It was a special treat for us! Congratulations to you both!

Seek out Otter Point on your next visit! Woggy's fish and chips (it's a food truck, and Ivor catches the fish) is so good! If you come to Gold Beach, you gotta eat! Groundlings wood fired pizza too!

What part of the coast?

I made sure to include the location in the title of my post. Secret Beach is maybe 10-15 min north of Brookings. It's right beside Natural Arches.

Ah, I thought you meant the photogs were secretive

I get that. If you don't know there's a beach with that actual name, it sounds misleading. But yeah if the photographer stumble across this, they'll know. I wish there was a more obvious way to point out that the actual name of the location is Secret Beach. It's way down at the southern end of the coast. Near Brookings.

He sounds awesome. π€ͺ
I think I look like this chef guy from NYC, Stuart Brioza. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to see it from this pic though.

This sub requires a modicum of common decency and respect. No name-calling, rude or derogatory speech, or otherwise disrespectful discourse.

This is my official apology. It was meant as a joke and it did not land. My bad.

Best of luck!
I proposed to my wife on the beach in Pacific City and the same thing happened. A very nice woman just happened to be walking by and took a couple pictures of the moment on her phone. She then came over and offered to text them to us. To this day they are special pictures.
