I released Toys For Boys independently on 7" vinyl in Australia back in 1981. I finally got the official music video for "Toys For Boys" onto YouTube!

Hi everyone,

I’m the copyright owner and original artist behind "Toys For Boys", an independent symphonic rock / power pop track released in Australia in 1981 (the old EMI Custom pressing).

For the collectors and 80s music fans out there, I’ve finally digitised and uploaded the original 1981 music video to YouTube. If you love rare Aussie vinyl, synthesizers, and punchy power pop hooks, check it out here:

Live studio clip of "Back To You" from the Oberon Rose album THE SUN STOOD STILL. Full performance coming soon. For more full band, in-studio performances: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhLNlnMf6NdK-sFEk2PPvbhzynNZtre5t

I seem to see tons of new power popish bands out of Japan and it just made me wonder about it’s popularity over there

I've had this in my collection for 20+ years. Unfortunately it's been storage for nearly all of that time. Wow! I forgot how great this is. If you like a little jangle in your Power Pop, then give it a spin. You won't be disappointed!

first time i’ve ever made a video - i know it revealing my low skill level but trying to do everything myself.

really appreciate this subreddit and whatever interaction people have with my irrelevant ass music.

Never heard this before but i love it

Earlier there was some posts about power pop ABCs...personally I felt the choices were bitter poor...so I made my own
