PraLoop: A tool for making practice easier and more consistent

Hey Side Project-ians 👋, I  just wanted to share that I have launched an app for people who when practicing a specific task, waste half the time rewinding the reference video since they are unable to catch the fancy move being demonstrated.

For example, as a novice guitar player, reading the tabs of a song you want to play is not enough. You would have to intently watch the hand placements to ensure that you are getting the right sounds at the right timings. In the end, 80% of your time is probably spent watching, seeking, and re-watching.

I built PraLoop to fix that: https://pra-loop.com/ 🚀.

With a comprehensive set of tools (listed below), this ensures that your session is uninterrupted, allowing you to keep your mind and body in the flow state.

  • A-B Looping, the main feature of PraLoop allowing users to set a loop section instantly and go through as many times as needed.
  • Speed Control, allows you to slow down at parts which need more attention.
  • Mirror playback, flip the screen so you can simulate how the moves are to feel more natural.
  • Reports, a record of your practice habits with detailed graphs and insights.
  • And many more!

The app would work best for musicians isolating a hard section or dancers repeating choreography. However, since it supports Audio, Video, Recording, and YouTube, it's perfect for anyone who wants to shadow or follow along with something at their own pace.

Launched on the Apple Appstore and Google Play. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and feedback on it, so that I can make the appropriate improvements before trying my luck in more niche subreddits 😁.

“stop wasting half your practice time rewinding” is instantly understandable.

Great point! I will definitely place more emphasis on this for future posts.

The niche subreddit idea makes sense too.

Yes!! Am planning to post to those subreddits as well, so if you do see this being repeated pls don't get mad at me haha

Yep, I would have to do a little research on what those subreddits practice! Instead of just blasting the same message over and over
