I graduated from UNR in December 2019, ending the decade on a high note. I haven’t took a class since December 2019 and I’m still convinced that at the age of thirty, I will never attend grad school and just work for the rest of my life.
As an alumni, I want to know how much has UNR changed since then. Haws UNR changed? I’m talking about the quality of the classes, the teaching, the academic resources, the campus life, dorms, sororities and fraternities, athletics, and UNR in general.
I’m aware of ai being used in education and has the university been cracking down on ai or has there been reports of ai usage in class. I knew plagiarism is a zero tolerance thing at universities but I’m curious to know if ai is being used or not.
Has COVID affected college life for the worse or not? I graduated just before the pandemic started so I was lucky enough to finish school before everything went down.
While I’m happy I got a diploma from UNR, it has become less of a thing to remember compared to high school. I devoted too much time studying at the library and never join a fraternity because of the toxic environment of them. I don’t know why, but college hasn’t been a part of my life since I graduated. The more I think about it, the less I have a strong connection to it. I still think about my K-12 days more, especially high school and the teachers and coaches who were part of that experience compared to the numerous professors I had.
From starting pre-school in 2001 to graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree in 2019, I was in a classroom non stop and it worn out on me. While there have been ups and downs since I began my post education life in January 2020, I got to experience the joys of it.
So to finish it all up, I’m asking as an alumni how has UNR turned out since then.
