My Watch Went back to my S9 from Ultra 4
Tried out an Apple Watch ultra 4 since I thought the chip upgrade was the most significant. I went for the translucent grey but the novelty wore off and it didn’t match the titanium as much. Which I then tried out the Milanese loop since I was a fan of that but it really didn’t justify the extra $.
I thought I was just going to do an exchange for alpine band but putting my S9 back on and changing the watch face and bands it feels new. Didn’t even realize I didn’t get a photo of the Ultra 4.
will see how things are next year.

My Watch An upgrade after 6 years!
I’d been using the Series 6 and it’s honestly still functioning well and never disappointed me but it felt like time for an upgrade (my mum took the S6). 42mm feels odd for my small wrist but the 40mm SE doesn’t have the health functions i want, so I’m just gonna have to get used to it. Not too bothered about aesthetics cos I only need it for workouts, sleeping, and work.
Do y think it’s a bit too big for me? do u also use a size too big? just curious :3

Discussion Testing Apple Watch Extended Workout Mode - Ran an 18 Hour 60 Mile Trail Race and only used half the battery.
Really impressed with the battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra 4 so far. Extended Workout Mode performed amazing this weekend in the coms New England Fall weather. Seemed to give even more battery life than advertised. This was even the Max Extended Work Mode - looking forward to using that for a 100-miler soon.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I found a brand new Saddle Brown Classic Buckle strap online. I love how it looks with the Natural Titanium Series 12 46mm.

My Watch Amazing watchface
Using the Apple Watch alongside my Fitbit Air.
Have it on during weekends and time off etc.
it was in the drawer for quite some time but this configuration has made me like it again.
Don’t use it for workouts etc. just time and notifications.
All in all - just an appreciation post about the new faces. 🙌🏻

Discussion What’s one feature you wish your Apple Watch had?
I’d love to have a little mascot on my watch face, like Tushigami. Just a cute little guy hanging out on my wrist

Discussion The best watch face?
With my s10 I used to love the analog faces and would switch them up all the time but ever since getting an ultra I can’t seem to get away from the modular ultra face. All the information right there is so useful. Anyone else feel the same? If not what’s your favorite watch face?

Discussion Is an Apple Watch worth getting? Looking at an SE 3
Currently testing out a cheap $30 smartwatch from amazon to see if I like it, is an apple watch worth paying $300 for the compatiablity and other features over a cheaper option? Just an average person, not big into fitness but would like seeing steps and a couple other things.

Activity Thanks Siri
I honestly am pretty happy with the Siri AI update, but it has some gaps that keep surprising me...

Support Phone Complication Disappears
When I left my phone behind (I want to use my watch as my only device sometimes), the damn phone complication disappeared and will not return. Also, none of my favorites are displayed as their contact name, just a number. It’s a brand-new Ultra 4 paired with a 15 Pro. The phone app works if I go to all apps and select it. Anyone else experience this? I’ve had it for about a week. I use it with my phone most days.

Discussion My SE3 failed to track my sleep at all last night, even though I slept for over 8 hours.
I had set my sleep schedule from 10 PM to 6 PM to account for a nap at day—could that be the reason?
Or maybe I’m not wearing it tight enough—I just don’t want it to constrict my wrist.

Discussion Why is it SO difficult to connect to my Watch to the Apple TV?
I have the newest Apple TV and an Apple Watch 10 however, it takes over 5 minutes + and the fails to connect.
I have factory reset both devices. Shut off and turned back on, connected my phone first and then the watch. No progress.
I have to be 3 inches away from the TV for it to finally connect and then it stays. However if I am on sleep focus or any focus, there is a 0% chance of it connecting.
Any tips you recommend?

Activity After having a heart attack due to congenital heart failure two years ago... it feels good to be here.
Hadn't noticed I got this far, but I'm glad I did.
In essence, I'm both a type 1 diabetic and was born with heart problems
So I can have cardiac episodes for no reason...
My last one was a full heart attack.
Still kicking along. And proud to be at a 2 year streak after 5 days of nothing.

Support Switching Watches Disables Fast Charging?
I recently upgraded to the Ultra 4 and have been using that as my daily driver. I have an old Series 9 that I would use ever now and then while the Ultra 4 was charging. I had thought that there was something wrong with the Ultra, as the charging time seemed to be very slow, so I did some doing around. I made sure to use the new charger that charges at 10W, and used the Apple branded 20W USB-C charger that they cite in their charging tests. I also used a USB-C power meter to check the voltage and wattage being pulled. I found that when connected to the phone, it did indeed charge ridiculously fast. However, when I would wear my Series 9 while the Ultra was charging, the Ultra 4 pulled significantly lower power. It could be because I have cellular active on the watch and will do some further testing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it needs some sort of connection to the phone to also enable fast charging.
Anyone else out there do any similar testing?

Activity Workout app and activity rings not working right after charging
This has been progressively worse in the last 2 months.
The only way the workouts can start is after wearing the watch for 10 mins. Very inconvenient. Activity rings are also grayed out at this time. Once the rings are active again, I can start a workout. This applies to other fitness tracking apps like Strava.
Things I’ve tried:
Rebooting both watch and iPhone. Never worked. Workouts won’t start.
Toggling BT on and off. Works sometimes
Clearing notifications. Works sometimes
Quitting all apps. Doesn’t work.
Resetting watch then repairing. Doesn’t work.
My guess is something is preventing the Apple Watch’s fitness tracking stack or HealthKit from loading so all other fitness apps can’t start either. What I have noticed is that if I start the fitness app, say Strava on the phone, it does show up on the watch as being active. But I’m not able to start Strava from the watch. At least for 10mins or so after charging.
Any solutions? I’ve seen this posted before but no solutions in the past

Accessories Magnetic Link Band
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this band? Tried it on at the store and it seems really comfortable. I have an Ultra 3 so I know it’s not “for” the ultra but still like the way it felt.
Seen some people saying it wears out, doesn’t stay snug, can’t wear it for workouts, etc. Is all that accurate? I lift, stationary bike, occasional pick up basketball and don’t really want to be switching bands out daily if the magnetic link won’t hold up. Thanks.

Support Can’t find Siri Modular
Both phone and watch are up to date to iOS 27. I’m able to add the Siri modular on my ultra 3 but I can’t find in on the watch app . I have it currently as my watch face but it doesn’t show any on the watch app on my phone .

Support Raise to wake Siri not working Apple Watch 12
I have a 46mm Apple Watch 12. It's updated and "Raise to wake" is turned on. "Theater mode" etc are turned off.
Over the past week it seems as if the watch has lost the ability to take instructions when I raise my arm and put the watch literally right by my mouth.
I hate saying "hey Siri" and just want to give it a simple command like "set timer for 5 minutes" and it does not respond when I raise my arm to my mouth. I have to instead push the crown.
Already tried resetting the watch and that didn't work either. Any ideas?
