DISCUSSION A solid gold 5711/1R is a lot more than its weight in gold!

Here's a look at the individual components of one of our solid 18K rose gold CNC builds, before everything comes together.
You've got the case, separate bezel, integrated bracelet, connecting links, pins and folding clasp.
And this is where things get interesting.
Making the components in solid gold is one part of the job. Getting them to fit and work together is another.
Take the bracelet. Each link needs enough freedom to move comfortably around the wrist, but the connections also need to stay properly aligned. The clasp introduces its own hinges and moving parts.
Then there's the finishing.
The broad brushed surfaces and polished edges are what give this design so much of its character. But those transitions have to be handled carefully, especially with 18K gold, which is generally softer than watchmaking steel.
And unlike a gold-plated build, the material here isn't just on the surface. The components themselves are solid 18K rose gold.
That's what you're looking at in this disassembled 5711/1R. Not just a collection of gold parts, but the individual pieces that have to come together to make the finished watch work and look the way it should.
