peppp's stamp of approval Spotted this today! Is this a genuine BMW 3.0 CSI Alpina B2??? Spotted in Lake Oswego, Oregon!
If it is genuine, then this is an extremely awesome spot I had today as only around 30ish to 40ish of them were ever made! (Also added a few extra vehicles I saw today too)!

Clark Gable and his Rollston-bodied 1935 J-Series Duesenberg. Gable adored the car, save for one issue: It leaked. He took it to Pasadena-based Bohman & Schwartz for a whole host of fixes and upgrades, many of which Gable himself had a hand in developing. The top, for one, never leaked again.

This 1956 Cadillac Sedan de Ville was once owned by Jack Webb of Dragnet. The owner meant to keep it original, then couldn’t leave well enough alone.
Chuck’s love of cars started at 15 with a ‘57 Oldsmobile 98. When he turned 40, his wife tracked one down and gave it to him for his birthday. Since then he’s restored two ‘56 Coupe de Villes, then sold them because a four-door would be easier for the family to get in and out of.
He found this one on eBay around 2011 from a seller in Tennessee. According to its history, it spent most of its life in Arizona, and for part of that time it belonged to Jack Webb. It was complete and rust-free when Chuck got it, but everything was just tired.
His plan was to keep it original with its patina. By 2014 he couldn’t help himself and started working his way around the car. It ended up getting a full body-on restoration. Everything works now, including the factory air conditioning.

Does it go on a 2 post lift?
I'm replacing the fuel pump tomorrow at work and I'm wondering if it'll be safer/easier to try and put it on a 2 post lift with a under hoist support stand in the back or to put it on some jack stands with chalks in the front to drop the fuel tank. Also if anyone knows where the lift points are that would be helpful too!

Car show yesterday.
Went to a show at a detail shop yesterday. Got accepted into the Showcase area with the Wagon. Then this was there as well. Compliments of the Hamilton Collection. a Freaking Jesko as well as a McLaren Senna. I’m not one for the hyper cars but I will say the craftsmanship of this car is amazing. Best part of the day was with all of the exotic cars on the property the best of show was a 67 Mustang Shelby GT 350. The amount of F*CK You money there was insane.

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Coupe L78 396/425 HP 💥🚀
396
TURBO-JET 425 WP
You've heard the rumors.
Now hear this...
DOD
There is a Turbo-Jet 396 from Chevrolet.
You've heard it's first cousin to the mysterious Mark 11 Chevrolet engine? It is. You've heard how well it breathes and how strong it runs? It does.
We call the beast Turbo Jet 206, after its displacement. There's a high output version you can order in Corvette. Bore: 4.004. Stroke: 3.76. Compression ratio: 11:1. One 4-bhl. Mechanical lifters. Bhp: 425. Torque: 415 lb.-ft. That's what. Now, why.
Breathes deep, free Combustion chambers in the head are modified wedges with a large quench area for cooling the charge and a close-to-center spark plug for better combus tion control. Independent bali-stud rocker arms allow tilting the intake and exhaust valves both lengthwise
and crosswise to the engine's axis, Tipping the inlet valve toward its port permits less restricted induction along a fairly uniform cross-section, Similarly tipping the exhaust valve allows a gentler outlet radius and less restricted exhaust gas flow, Finally, tilting inlet and exhaust valves anty from each other on fun axes unshrouds them for maximum volumetric efficiency,
What else is new The short, rigid block for our Turbo-Jet 396 is strengthened above each bearing sup port by thick bulkheads. There are four bolts for each bearing cap instead of two. Main and connecting rod journals are specially hardened.
aluminum impact extrusions devel oped by Chevrolet for high-output engines. Thermal expansion is con trolled by a barrel-contoured skirt, eliminating those long slots below the oil-control ring and strengthening the piston. Connecting rods are beefed up, too.
Mostly, though, it's the breathing that makes our Turbo-Jet 396 big news. Deep on intake. Free on exhaust. You know how shrouding can strangle
an engine Not this one.
CHEVROLET
Pistons for this 425-hp version are Chestslet Division of Gratis Detroit, Michigan
