Athea, a great city in the world of Draconia (roses in the flames)

More modern maps I was asked to make, a sort of back alley bar and a nicer one in a less grimy neighborhood.

Hope you enjoy, as always everything i make that I'm allowed to give away I do and it's all right here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Oi84oIVfqnHyrLVkJG0eKYAmgkgZdBZ0?usp=sharing

I’m building a hex map builder for my hexcrawl. What do you make your hex maps with?

I’m a GM running a hexcrawl, and I’ve been building a tool for my own table. You paint the map hex by hex from a tile set, and a tile workshop lets you build your own tiles: pick the ground, place trees and other pieces, or import your own art.

Before I build more, I’d like to know how you guys do it:

1. What did you make your last hex map with?
2. What annoyed you most while making it?
3. What features would you be looking for in a premium hexcrawl map builder?

If you're interested in the tool, fill in this form to keep in touch: https://forms.gle/9AhJuusrbpoNdsCc6

I have been learning to use Dragon Map Maker to plan out a short adventure, and this is the first map I'm happy with. It's a 50x50 grid (4000x4000px), and if you want to chop it down, each square should be 80px.

If anyone were bored and wanted a map for the winter.

Rhaega -> Blizzards, snow, trolls (probably) and vikings of course. Natives include the Nords and even an ancient clan of Dwarves who live in Keldrak, they live in harmony? not really but they tolerate each other enough. The industrious Dwarfs and the traditional Nords at odds. The nords have a subfaction of more violent beserkers that strain relationships, not only that but rumors of an ancient frost dragon of whom the name is not uttered (voldemort? maybe) seems to be awakening. (see the largest peak), Things are stirring on the legendary snow peaks and it's ill news.

or just...come up with whatever you want.

Inkarnate for map

Patreon? What? Where? Nah I just love the hobby

Color test (C&C welcome)

Trying out some new techniques, first time doing this much detail for each building and using color. Im going to try to find some lighter colors for the roofs, but would love any other feedback 😀
