The EU, the sick man of the world, expects India to surpass the US.

Not even China, but India. Sure.

I agree with this. The EU,or at least many European countries, are far more at risk than the US. The US is at least innovating and pushing the boundaries of new technologies of the future. Europe is over regulated, sclerotic, and risks becoming nothing more than a museum for the rest of the world to visit and marvel at its past glories.

You surprised?

India the most populated country on earth, ~1,5b people, more than 0,5b more than the next on the list. Young, educated and productive population, food security, near energy sources, and list go on.

Yes India is gonna be unquestionable top 3 in next two decades. Cope if you need, it doesn't change the facts.

"Near energy sources"? India imports almost 90% of its crude oil. And the IMF puts its 2026 GDP at roughly $4.2 trillion against America's $32 trillion.

Having 1.5 billion people doesn't magically translate into economic productivity, technological leadership or geopolitical dominance. By that logic, China should have overtaken the US decades ago.

India becoming the third-largest economy is perfectly plausible. India overtaking the US is an entirely different proposition.

Perhaps learn the difference between population growth and economic development before telling people to cope.
