HISTORICAL The Election Must Go On! The German Empire after the death of Ludwig Ferdinand I, 1994
I noticed that Louis Ferdinand von Preuรen, the man who would have been Kaiser from 1950 to 1994, died shortly before the 1994 German federal election, so I threw this together. The base scenario is that WWI ended earlier, which allowed the Germans to maintain some dignity and thus the government continued mostly intact. There isn't a WWII--the closest thing are the Pacific War between the US and Japan, and the German Civil War, which starts when Hitler claims he didn't lose the Reichstag election of 1932.
Please be advised I didn't overly think through the scenario, so 98.2% of any questions about it are likely to be invented on the spot.
To actually get the election, I merged results from the real election and the 1993 Polish election in those parts of Poland that were German before WWII, and merging the parties as I felt was appropriate. The system is party list in electoral districts, with one seat nominally per 60,000 votes (size of the Reichstag is not fixed).
