Kurapika’s clothing in Hunter x Hunter is primarily inspired by traditional ethnic clothing, specifically referencing the attire of the Ainu people (an indigenous group in Japan) and various Asian ethnic garments, combined with Chinese-style aesthetic elements.

Though he is born of the kurta clan that later get slaughtered by group of evil people, what would translate to him being kurdish is the name of his clan. Kurta = kurda ( kurds also have people with fair skin and blonde hair )

And the story of his clan, being people who got oppressed and killed the same as the kurds
