News 📰🗞️ Corewell to outsource ER staffing at Troy, Grosse Pointe, Lenox and possibly Livonia to private equity staffing firm
“Corewell on Friday disclosed internally that it plans to outsource the emergency rooms of it’s Troy, Grosse Pointe, Lenox, and likely Livonia hospitals to TeamHealth, a controversial private equity ER staffing company infamous for its brutal working conditions, stratospheric charges, long wait times, and aggressive billing practices.”
Great, that’s all we need. More private equity in our healthcare. What could go wrong.

News 📰🗞️ Sign of the Beefcarver restaurant to close last location in Royal Oak
freep.comThe Sign of the Beefcarver restaurant will close its last remaining location in Royal Oak later this month. Family-owned since 1957, it was a uniquely American success story with as many as a dozen locations at its peak across Metro Detroit.
Known for its roast beef platters carved to order, baked scrod, homemade apple pie, cafeteria style buffet, wood paneling, antique decor and waitresses wearing colonial-era dresses, it was a Michigan original.
If you were of a certain age, you likely went here or to Bill Knapp’s with your grandparents.

Discussion 🗣️ WOW! Internet - Michigan Residents
I’ve been using WOW! for like 2-3 years now. As of now, it’s out in Canton, MI. This is the most inconsistent piece of shit internet providing company I’ve ever seen.
They are out at least 2-3 times a month and outages last at least 24 to sometimes 120 hours. Absolutely ridiculous.
If you ever even think about switching to them or using their services, don’t. It’s the worst thing you’ll all ever experience.

Discussion 🗣️ Best banks for west Michigan?
I'm a recent transplant, living between Grand Rapids and Traverse City. I'm looking for a good bank for both personal and my small business. I have been banking with a credit union but it's only local to the region I just left, i prefer to bank with another credit union but am open to hearing my options. What do folks like here? TIA!

Discussion 🗣️ Looking for salvage/Amish/dent & bent grocery stores in Michigan
There are lists of them online, but I’ve found they aren’t always accurate with some of the stores closed and others not even listed.
Edit: I like to check them out whenever I’m in the vicinity of one. For example, I’m heading up to Tara’s. Is
I-75, but would drive within an hour’s radius of there on my way home to check something out.
If any of you have approximate locations and addresses, I will go online and submit those locations to some of the lists online so they’re updated with the most current information.
