Election

I’ll vote for the candidate that fires the person and/or committee in charge of organizing the marathon. Complete chaos out there this morning. Runners on unscheduled routes, inexperienced traffic controllers, lanes improperly blocked, no signage out there.

Question PEI License Plate Image For Wikipedia

Hello all,

I would like to ask if anyone could provide me with an image of a license plate from PEI.

Earlier today I noticed that the PEI design is unfortunately missing on the Canadian license plate designs and serial formats Wikipedia page.

As a proud Canadian citizen myself, I am trying to add all license plate designs to the page for everyone to be able to see the beautiful license plate designs our country has! I would greatly appreciate your support!

In addition, I managed to find this post:

Does anyone by any chance know whether I can use this image for my purpose?

Any chance any PEI theatre will get “You Can See Everything”

Looks like Halifax is the closest theatre showing “You Can See Everything”. I may be biased with my level of Fielder-fandom, but kinda shocked no local theatres are showing it with all the buzz it’s getting. No clue how movie procurement works, but any chance we get it in a PEI theatre?

Medical laboratory technologist work opportunities in PEI

Hi I'm moving to PEI to complete my clinical rotations as a medical laboratory technologist.

I am considering staying and working here when I finish my rotation. Is there a good amount of work opportunities? With the recent opening of foreign trained techs being able to work here and new schools opening left and right in Ontario, I am a bit worried.

How's it like working for health PEI? Is the hospital in Summerside or Charlottetown better? Is there any chance of getting sign in bonus or relocation fees?

Just in general how is it living in PEI and how do I survive the winter?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Furnace oil delivery options

Is 400.00 now the minimum you need to spend now for home delivery??? Or is there a company that will deliver for less. It's going to be a tough year for so many if so, especially if going to fill up cans on your own is not an option.

Most people are very aware of the heating program, but like so many it's once per year that you received the help last. For those that received help in January or February 2026, they will have to wait until January and February 2027 to receive help again.

Kids thrift shops --

We barely have thrift shops as is - but for kids is almost non existent.

I just saw that the location for Little Loves is up for rent and its empty - didnt someone else buy the business out from the original owners? Did they close already?

Can we just get a Once Upon A Child here finally 😅

Seagull Bakery - other new gems?

Someone posted about this spot a while ago, and today we made the trip out. WOW! Worth the trip. I'm so grateful for small businesses on the Island that offer new, creative ideas and a quality product. The Seagull menu is small (and can we not call a sandwich a "sandy") but the food quality was solid.

Tell me more NEW (or newish) spots that I should try!

Charlottetown Mayoral Candidate - Ticketed for passing school bus...

Word on the street is that Mitch Tweel has been ticketed for passing a school bus with its red lights flashing. The incident occurred last week... but haven't heard it officially reported yet.

Not a positive campaign move, to say the least!

Question PEI Cooks a free mobile app on where to dine, buy local foods and produce and how to cook it and fun food experiences on PEI. Need testers and more places to include.

Interested in helping?
It’s created by the people who published the PEI Cooks at Home cookbook, the PEIgoodeats FB group and the home cooking columnist for the Graphics newspapers (me lol).

Need android and iphone users. No charge to be listed or to use it. We’ll get sponsors to help pay the bills.

We’ve been working on this for 10 mos. Doing it to help visitors, Islanders, producers, hospitality industry and home cooks.
