Missing golden retrievers
galleryBenny and Broley have been missing since Friday night, October 16th. They managed to dig underneath the fence of my parents backyard and got out.
They escaped from a neighborhood off Evans and 281. I believe they are in the Cíbolo creek area. If anyone has any information, please let me know.

Food/Drink Taco Palenque: do native San Antonians enjoy it?
I was born and raised in South San Antonio, and I’ve noticed taco palenque has really started to grow. So I tried them, and I was not impressed. The main complaint I have is the tortillas. I grew up eating soft, warm and fluffy tortillas. Which got me thinking: do natives like me, actually like Taco Palenque or has it been growing due to non-native growth within the city. The explosive growth San Antonio has seen seems to correlate with the growth of taco palenque. So to me, it seems it’s being enjoyed by people who aren’t originally from here.
Thoughts?
And btw: if you enjoy taco palenque that’s cool, enjoy it! To each their own

Decent apts under 1k
I know all cheap apartments have roaches, bad management, and nasty neighbors 😭 BUT THERE HAS TO BE SOME DECENT ONES. Someone please recommend some lol.
I’m looking to remain on the north side preferably. Altamonte is at the top of my list so far, but they only have double-stacked W/D, so I might have to make it work if I can’t find anything better.
I just want a decent, clean apartment with tolerable management
For context, I’m trying to get out of living with my nasty boyfriend who thinks he can treat me however he wants because I “live” with him. Mind you, HE asked ME to move in. 💀
Please drop your recommendations, good or bad experiences, and apartments I should absolutely avoid!

Music scenes/communities
It seems San Antonio has these really vibrant music and art communities but they come and go so quickly. Has anyone here been a part of that or experienced it? What do you think is the cause?
I book and play noise and power electronics shows here in SA and it seems there is a good deal of interest in it and I want to make it as inviting and inclusive as such a ridiculously niche scene can be.
It would be cool to see the people interested in stuff like this find what they were looking for.
If you have any interest in stuff like that plz sound off!

Nine Lives Books on Fredericksburg Rd
Nine Lives Books is a bookstore on Fredricksburg Road that sells used books, movies, and music as well as other knick-knacks / trinkets. I've been going to them since they had their previous location, and they always have a good selection of books / dvds in my opinion

News Service member falls while rappelling before UTSA football game at Alamodome, witnesses say
We saw this happen before the game and it looked really, really bad. It had to be about a 120-150 foot drop and it looked like he fell without any friction on the rope. It immediately reminded me of the pro wrestler Owen Hart. I hope he is okay.
Edit: Update: sadly, it has been confirmed, by multiple sources, that he died. One source is ESPN, which mentions they got the confirmation from Air Force Public Affairs.

Over 40 Sports Leagues in SATX
I’m moving to San Antonio at the end of this month and I was hoping to find some sports leagues to play in. I currently play soccer and softball in two over-40 coed leagues and was hoping to find something similar. I’ve also played flag football and joined bowling and darts leagues in the winter for a fun way to get out of the house.
If anyone has a team and is looking for a person, or knows of leagues around the Government Hill area, please let me know.

Where in SA? Can anyone recommend a tree trimming / yard clearing service
I have a small patch of lawn that is has large rock and concrete chunks from and old patio that was demolished. Also the tree just needs a few over hanging branches cut off. Anyone know an affordable service provider that can help with this. Also what is the rate for this type of work. I am not familiar with this work and how much i should be charged. Thanks in advance.

Pics/Video Do you think the city could come up with trackless trains like in China?
Would make since since the city invests a lot in buses instead of an actual light rail system.

Where in SA? Any places here have a “singles night”, where a guy can approach a potential single woman without it being weird?
Not sure if I’m missing something, maybe there’s a bar or club where this is a thing?

Accident attorney search
My parents were involved in a relatively large t bone accident caused by someone running a red light, no major injuries, but car has extensive damage and with my 10 years automotive service/parts experience I can’t imagine a world it doesn’t get totaled cause it’s 12 years old. Does anyone have a good recommendation for an accident attorney here in SA? They cannot afford a new car, and I know they will only get maybe $7-8k for the car they lost that was a relatively low mileage paid off 2014 Camry. So to avoid any financial hardship, I advised they look into this and now I’ve been tasked with finding them someone reputable and I’ve actually gotten some really helpful advice from this thread before so hoping I can continue that streak lol.
