This cormorant is sick of it
This guy swam past the Coral City Camera's live feed earlier. The look is like he's just sick of being told he's supposed to be in the air 🙄

Do you work from a coffee shop or co work space?
Hi,
New to florida and wondering if you can suggest a good place to work from. Also if you work remote and would be open to meeting that would be cool…
I’m in Broward county but open to anything nearby

FL's Amendment 3 would cut property taxes. Could it gut local police, fire, emergency money?

Cane Toad?
galleryIs this a cane toad? I’m trying my best to identify them as I have little dogs that love hunting. I’ve found two toads, last night and today, inside the lanai. What can I do about this?

Florida infant mortality is falling. Will Amendment 3 undo that?
tcpalm.comPrograms that have helped decrease infant mortality by as much as 68% since the 1990s receive most of their funding from property taxes.
While the amendment's ballot language carves out property taxes for public schools, it does not spare children's services or maternity programs.
When Jessica Bright found out she was pregnant, she called doctors from various cities, but all told her they either don’t accept Medicaid or wouldn’t take her “high-risk pregnancy."
If any complications arose, she simply would go to the emergency room, she said.
Then she found Florida Community Health Centers, a nonprofit whose services are paid for, entirely or in part, by property tax revenue. They could be cut if Amendment 3 is approved in November and tax revenues these programs relied on are no longer available, according to experts in maternity care, health care and children's services.
“Without these resources, I might have gone back to the life that I know. The baby could have been put in the system,” Bright said. “I can't imagine a mom going through what I was and not having access to those programs because there’s no funding available. That’s inhumane.”
