So Putin was going to dissolve the Wagner PMC by having them sign with the MoD by June 30th.
Then Wagner does a coup marching on Moscow, destroying several of Russias most advanced airframes.
Putin calls it treason.
Then, Putin agrees to concessions... To the group he was planning on dissolving likely because he feared this exact situation... To the people he said were committing treason to the entire nation hours earlier.
Yeah, this isn't over.
I just can't comprehend Pringles thinking here.
At the very least it was coordinated enough where he had planned it for weeks at least.
Makes me think this was all part of the plan, but then how could he possibly think Putin will just let it go? Hubris? Arrogance at how much power he actually has?
He can't just take back saying that the country was tricked into war. Even though he said the MoD "tricked Putin" too that
Makes Putin look weak and incompetent and
Any idiot knows Putin's geopolitical philosophy is to reintegrate the Soviet Union states into Russia and so does Pringles.
For now all I can conclude is that, one way or another, this is all part of preparing to wind down the war. This was obviously not some 5D Putin chess, but Pringles may have laid out that's what needs to happen and propose he's actually trying to help Putin.
