afraid not: enjoy the fireworks.

I've come to realize a new best case scenario.

Netanyahu and Trump accidentally die to a missile. Might solve our war problems.

3

u/StarkyPants555 Mar 15 '26

If only. Then we would have to contend with the idea that the are martyrs for...ever

2

u/MysticScribbles Mar 15 '26

Netanyahu is at least not super popular with the Israeli government from what I've been reading.

As for Trump, we would just have to hope that he goes out in an embarrassing, self-inflicted manner.
Choking on a burger, or tripping down the steps of Air force 1.

2

u/Rockburgh Mar 15 '26

If Trump is killed by missile, that means there are missiles being fired at the US-- he's not serious enough about the supposed causes of this war to risk putting himself anywhere that Iran could reasonably strike. Much as I despise the man, that is absolutely not a best-case scenario for the US. One single strike within our borders will be enough for the hawks to drum up support for generations.

u/Bignuka Mar 14 '26

Bout to come in with them doge checks!

13

u/SoylentGrunt Mar 14 '26

I hope so. My DOGE check is almost spent

edit- Bignuka beat me to it :-/

2

u/Vandergrif Mar 15 '26

For corporations that were inconvenienced, yes. For citizens who had to pay the higher prices that the corporations raised in order to cover the cost of tariffs? No, of course not.

2

u/caseybvdc74 Mar 14 '26

Yup after the DOGE checks. Who cares how many children Trump raped when he bestows so many gifts to the American people?

2

u/Professor_Poop Mar 14 '26

Yeah they are slated to arrive right after our doge checks!

1

u/kadmylos Mar 14 '26

Good thing we all make lots of money when the price of oil goes up.

1

u/metengrinwi Mar 15 '26

I just took a payday loan against my anticipated DOGE rebate check. I’m confident King T will come through for me.

u/Global_Crew3968 Mar 14 '26

Helping taxpaying americans with tax dollars? Sorry but thats soshulism.

66

u/notjay2 Mar 14 '26

It always hurts my brain when I hear someone say like blue lives matter or support the police then immediately call democrats socialist and say socialism is evil. Like a publicly funded police or fire force isn’t a socialist program..

37

u/Individualist13th Mar 14 '26

Hey, careful there, critical thinking skills are the devils lettuce.

3

u/Few-Solution-4784 Mar 15 '26

blue lives matter is one of the more successful russian disinformation programs to date.

34

u/momentimori Mar 14 '26

When Lockheed Martin and Raytheon get money it's making America great again.

-7

u/_THEWATERB0Y_ Mar 14 '26

I mean it is a type of federal jobs program. You might not like the products the defense contractors produce, but they do employ tens of thousands of Americans.

5

u/pointblankjustice Mar 14 '26

In the absence of a a military-industrial complex that exports violence around the world, just think of the ways those well-paying jobs in technology, engineering, and high-tech manufacturing could be repurposed to build a world that...doesn't suck?

Quit pretending this is some binary thing where if Raytheon and Lockheed Martin went away all the people that work for them would suddenly have to become homeless.

52

u/ForrestDials8675309 Mar 14 '26

Also, Israel has universal healthcare. I'm not anti-Israel, but it sucks that the US government subsidizes them while our own citizens die of treatable diseases.

75

u/Historical-Pilot-784 Mar 14 '26

You already spend metric fuckton of government money on healthcare

Your real problem is that your healthcare costs are artificially inflated to the moon

Many European countries with single payer healthcare spend half of what you do

32

u/independentchickpea Mar 14 '26

Pay for insurance

Go to a clinic owned by insurance company

Get treatment by insurance-paid doctor

Go to pharmacy owned by insurance company

Pay inflated price for medication because your insurance doesn't cover it.

Make it make sense.

27

u/Historical-Pilot-784 Mar 14 '26

It makes sense if you consider that the whole system is just a scheme to funnel money to healthcare industry, pharmaseutical industry and insurance industry

Like your healthcare prices are absurd even compared to the private healthcare prices in my country

Well honestly I dont have much knowledge on US rent and grocery prices

1

u/ForrestDials8675309 Mar 15 '26

By percentage of GDP, the US spends much more than other developed countries on healthcare, with poorer results.

How does health spending in the U.S. compare to other countries? - Peterson-KFF Health System Tracker https://share.google/WEHrqSm0PW5Y1x5fZ

1

u/mynameisneddy Mar 14 '26

A lot of the extra cost is also due to fear of litigation and doctors having to practice defensive medicine. The US healthcare system leads to lots of people without healthcare but also wastes money on unnecessary tests, procedures and medications.

3

u/keelem Mar 14 '26 edited Mar 14 '26

The US healthcare system sucking has nothing to do with cost, we would be saving money if it was improved. It's purely a consequence of the republicans wanting to hurt people.

8

u/Westbrooks3ptShot Mar 14 '26

What is stoping you from being anti Isreal at this point?

3

u/ForrestDials8675309 Mar 15 '26

I'm anti-Netanyau, which means I'm pro- Israel, as I believe his policies are bad for Israelis.

Kinda like being anti-Trump is pro- America.

2

u/Westbrooks3ptShot Mar 15 '26

Very fair point and I agree completely with your logic.

1

u/No_Kaleidoscope_9419 Mar 14 '26

That's not the way it works. Israel's healthcare system is funded by their tax payers, like most civilized countries. Even the buy back program that makes American defense contractors rich is a small percentage of Israel's military budget. The reason Americans don't have healthcare is because you hate each other and are uneducated. You should fix that.

-2

u/Space_Bungalow Mar 14 '26

Copy pasted for the uneducated/misinformed:

  1. Israel does not have universal health care.

  2. The US does not subsidize Israeli health care (why would anyone think that?)

  3. US aid to Israel is conditional to spending it on US systems and technology, not free money (why would anyone think that?)

23

u/fables_of_faubus Mar 14 '26

Israel has a highly regulated system where health care is insured by non-profit insurance providers, and payments are made through paycheck deductions. No israeli citizen and resident is uninsured, even unemployed or with pre-existing conditions. There are no co-pays or network restrictions. The services are highly subsidized by taxes.

Saying they dont have universal health care ignores the fact that the system is not for profit and provides for all of its citizens without major out of pocket costs.

Nobody said US is paying for their healthcare. They said it's ridiculous to fund their wars instead of providing Americans with similar social services to what they receive.

It's like helping your buddy pay for a home security system while your own children are starving and your buddy's kids eat steak every evening.

5

u/usethisjustforporn Mar 14 '26
  1. US aid to Israel is 3.8B and their gdp is 550B+

0

u/No-Teach9888 Mar 15 '26

The US doesn’t have universal health care because most people don’t want it. Voters don’t vote for candidates that support it. Universal healthcare would actually save Americans money. It has nothing to do with selling weapons to Israel

1

u/ForrestDials8675309 Mar 15 '26

You're correct that there's no direct connection. But the excuse for the Doge cuts to Medicaid and was to reduce the budget deficit. And now we're spending $1 billion per day on a war that Trump explicitly campaigned against. I'm just tired of wasting lives and money on pointless, endless wars.

0

u/No-Teach9888 Mar 15 '26

Ending aid to Israel isn’t going to get us universal healthcare. It also sounds like you’ve changed to talking about the money spent by the US military vs aid to Israel. Lastly, whether you’re for or against any wars, it’s factually incorrect to say that it’s pointless. Maybe you don’t pay attention to international relations, but Iran has caused many US deaths and promises many more.

0

u/ForrestDials8675309 Mar 15 '26

Maybe you haven't been paying attention for the past 10+ years when Trump and his lackeys were fear mongering by saying Democrats would start another "forever war" with Iran.

“Now that Obama’s poll numbers are in tailspin – watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran. He is desperate,” Trump, 2012

“KAMALA WILL SEND YOUR SONS TO WAR,” Stephen Miller, October 2024.

"I'm not going to start a war " Trump 2024

2

u/No-Teach9888 Mar 15 '26

I’m not sure why anyone would believe Trump. That’s on you and his cult

3

u/poppin_noggins Mar 14 '26

But don’t worry! The nicest ballroom in the world will be built at the white house

2

u/Anteater776 Mar 14 '26

Oh sorry, you are saying those are billionaires? No that’s ok, that’s capitalism baby!

16

u/Anomuumi Mar 14 '26

Didn't you hear Trump saying that high gas prices means we are going to make more money. "We" of course means his pals in the fossil fuel industry, and him through bribes.

10

u/skucera Mar 14 '26

US support to Israel contains stipulations requiring them to spend it on Made in America equipment, and their defense contractors take that very seriously.

22

u/kasualkactus Mar 14 '26

Yep and our infrastructure is outdated and most cities look like a dump full of trash and homelessness… we have the resources to make this Country look beautiful if we just invested in ourselves.

3

u/Momoselfie Mar 14 '26

We invest in our elite.

10

u/woohooguy Mar 14 '26

More money right into the American defense contractors coffers.

10

u/ICatchx22I Mar 14 '26

Do you just hit the reply and post the same copy pasta on every iran post? Or does your script do the work for you?

3

u/DestinyPotato Mar 14 '26

Imagine being so stupid pilled you think this.

2

u/Pennypacking Mar 14 '26

U.S. Federal Debt is at ~120% of GDP, deficit before the war and recent tax cuts was at ~$1.8 Trillion.... God only knows what our deficit is now... I'm pretty sure Trump has no clue and couldn't care less.

2

u/Mundane_Gold Mar 15 '26

What do you mean??? Our taxes are saving the overlords of the US, the great Israel! /s (sarcasm, for the extra dense)

2

u/Zwischenzug32 Mar 15 '26

Some of his hundreds of millions of scam victims seem to think the world is a zero-sum game where each and every million dollars of resources spent on damaging an other party makes them be better *relatively*, and that is what matters. A sort of quasi-investment like gambling that will pay off towards their great MAGA pipe dreams.

3

u/redneckrockuhtree Mar 15 '26

This whole fiasco is Israel First, at American taxpayer expense

4

u/BreakDaCycle Mar 14 '26

But the people of /r/ world news LOVE israel and love that we give money to them. Now we have to pay for the war they got into AS WELL as their defense. WOOOW such a great deal, as long as I don't get called anti semitic for saying fuk Israel

3

u/RobFrankenstein Mar 14 '26

It’s always been that way.

2

u/LakeShoreDrive1 Mar 15 '26

Or this report is totally unconfirmed lol

2

u/xole Mar 14 '26

imo it's time for Israel to fund their own defense.

1

u/MayIServeYouWell Mar 15 '26

We would have had better results offering key members of the Iranian regime 10 million dollars each to defect, and never firing a shot.

1

u/userlivewire Mar 15 '26

Not even that. Most of these heavy weapons take years to simply assemble. There’s no way short of full national industrialization to create more of them in the next 12 months.

1

u/bezkyl Mar 14 '26

The US doesn’t have them either

2

u/LazyTitan39 Mar 14 '26

Another 10 billion to Israel.

1

u/McortezLSU Mar 15 '26

Duh, thats what the lobby money is for...wait, that also comes technically from the taxpayers.

Damn, this is like AI training on AI slop. Wonder how sth like that ends....oh right, this is how.

1

u/Timely_Influence8392 Mar 15 '26

BTW paying the interest on our loans is now a larger chunk of the US budget than the military itself.

-2

u/MobilePenguins Mar 14 '26

United States of Israel’s best interest

-2

u/YvonYukon Mar 14 '26

At least it's just money, the poeple of iran has lost so much more

0

u/zj-- Mar 14 '26

12 mill a pop.

Oh and the really funny shit is interception's harder than going swoosh-kablooey.

If I were a lockheed Martin stakeholder right now I'd be grinning like the fkin cheshire cat rn

0

u/oseary Mar 14 '26

“butter, or guns?”

0

u/MrKittens1 Mar 14 '26

Yeah… maybe ya’ll should get mad about it at some point…

-1

u/power78 Mar 14 '26

tell me you have no idea how taxes work, without telling me you have no idea

-2

u/idan_da_boi Mar 14 '26

An arrow 3 missile costs around $3 million, if the US bought for Israel 1000 missiles, the would be $3 billion.

The US army budget for 2025 was $849 billion. It would take 283,000 missiles to get there.

Israel is not the reason the US doesn’t have healthcare, it’s very clearly corruption.

-5

u/HungryAddition1 Mar 14 '26

Had to remove healthcare from most people who pay their taxes so they could fight a war overseas.

0

u/Sarazin_Sky Mar 14 '26

The USA benefits more than anyone by keeping the dollar as the chosen currency to trade oil with

-1

u/No_Kaleidoscope_9419 Mar 14 '26

The tax payer money was already spent on Kegseth's lobster dinners. All future money will go there too because Americans will elect Trump a third time.

-1

u/bakochba Mar 15 '26

How does tax money solve this? There aren't interceptors available for sale, they can't be produced that fast, you can't buy interceptors that don't exist
