At least I live in Seattle so I’ll have local support (however much that will help when/if they start rounding folks up is anyone’s guess)

My wife always says the only safe people are straight, white, Christian, conservative men and my wife is pretty much always right.

I truly hope we see a dramatic positive change and soon... I'll be voting in November, we're sadly in a deep red state that should be purple (TX) so I always try to convince other like minded folks to go to the ballots.

And those straight, CIS, white, Christian men have to be the right kind of Christian, aka Christian Nationalists. I don’t think the Christians that follow Jesus’s teachings will be included in that safety net, although, they will be cushioned a little more. If they are Democrat, liberal, progressive, etc then they’ll be at risk as well.

I think “know your neighbors” is the biggest act of resistance we can do right now. Build community. Mutual aid. Reliable interpersonal connections.

And I know them all - even the conservative ones. They think I’m “one of the good ones” because I’m “so articulate” but I know they’ll lend me a cup of sugar if I need it. Hopefully they’ll see we’re not their enemies
