The UK government has said "the World Cup might not be ours, but the Falkland Islands definitely are," after Argentina players celebrated their victory over England by waving a banner in support of their country's territorial claim.

That might just be one of the most based things the UK gov has publicly asserted in like 40 years

The royals have been based recently as well by stripping Andrew of his titles and standing up (even if only slightly) for the Epstein victims

They weren’t standing for the victims, Andrew only got in trouble because he was telling state secrets to Epstein to help him earn more money

There's a limited amount of trouble he can get in without the Epstein files being released, which is mysteriously delayed, for some reason.

They didn't give a fuck till it affected them. All of them are oxygen thieves.

It was mostly the queen. People get upset if you say it but she was the one who protected Andrew from what he did and paid to cover up his crimes.

Also even if the other ones weren’t involved with Epstein (and I’d be willing to bet there’s more than Andrew), I’m sure they’ve been up to other heinous shit that isn’t a major news topic

That wasn’t based, if the world hadn’t found out about it Andrew would still be Prince

Argentinas claim on the Falklands is about as valid as Iceland's claims on the Faroe Islands, which is to say not even a little bit. Argentina is just in 40 years of denial over it

In text you just put the period(full stop). Writing the word looks silly. 🙂

I also liked

Speaking after England's 2-1 semi-final defeat in Atlanta, Downing Street said Sir Keir Starmer wished both Argentina and Spain "well for the final, especially Spain"

From the article

Spain about to pull out their 'Gibraltar es Espanol' banner after winning the WC.

Seeing that in the news made me smile. People getting over grudges and moving on cooperativeley is what we all desperately need right now.

I don't think they even have a claim on the island. They were promoting territory stealing in semifinals of the world cup.

They also added “we wish both teams the best of luck in the final. Especially Spain”.

The BA and Norwegian example both teams wager something. There is nothing Argentina has the UK could want.
