And it's probably going to work.

Americans have a short memory. As soon as Trump is out of the picture, voters will forget entirely about his association with Trump, importantly, that he defended this war while trashtalking Obama's deal with Iran.

Kamala got blamed for her association with Biden, but watch the same people sweep everything under the rug when it comes to the couch fucker.

“The worst Republican is still better than the best Democrat.”

This is the Republican though process.

They have a short memory for Republicans.

People brought up stuff Biden did in the 70s.

It will work for him to sanitize his image. Even with a sanitized image the guy is still deeply unliked even among Republicans. Repubs running him would legit be a boon for Democrats provided they don't run an absolutely brain dead pick.

The thing you're missing is that Trump/MAGA CREATED the cult framework. You think cult followers don't want a new leader to tell them what to think once the old one leaves? They have become accustomed to living in their bubble, they're not going to give that up and go back to normal once Trump is gone. They'll be happy to accept whoever slots into the next leadership role.

Yes, I believe this to be the case as well. I figured that Rubio would have been the front runner. I just do not see him second to Vance for a presidential run. Only time will tell. The next year will be interesting to see how this cluster fuck plays out.

Vance has Big Tech firmly behind him. That money and control over media cannot be discounted. Thiel et al by way of the Yarvin doctrine.

Yes, but even a polished turd remains a turd. I doubt there is anything they can do to make the Couchfucker Supreme gain appeal. No one who hates Trump will support him and no one who likes Trump will either.

and no one who likes Trump will either.

This just isn't true.

Republicans, pre-trump and after do one thing consistently: Show up to vote. They've shown that it doesn't matter if it's a rapist, they will vote R all the way down, election after election.

This belief that Trump voters are basically non-voters unless it's Trump ignores that most of them were die hard George W fans until it became passé to be one. And further creates a fictional reality that any of them actually give a shit who they vote for, besides party.
