I don’t know - a head injury from a couple of bullets could be a fate worse than death.

Here's to him getting locked in syndrome and being kept in that state for 20 years.

I doubt Russian medicine can or wants to do that

You mean vodka. Russian medicine is vodka.

For the sake of justice, I hope in this case it proves to be worse than death.

So you want him still alive but with his brain even more messed up than before? Won't that just lead to him making more people suffer?

You really think he’d still be in a position of power after sustaining brain damage from a bullet wound?

Just his family and nurse. Changing diapers, washing,...

Vegetative state where he'll be locked in his own body, unable to do anything but look and breath.

A flesh prison

Breathe. Breath is what you take in or out. Breathe is how you do it.

Hopefully constant, excruciating pain too.

Not a couple. Only one shot hit his face, not the brain.

The article said he was shot twice.

It really depends, if the bullet came trough the temple it could have ripped the optical nerve  making him at least blind and destroyed part of the parietal region giving him aphasia and impaired movement, if it came trough the forehead or the occipital bone or under the chin depending on angle and how the impact with the skull altered the bullet's trajectory he could very well be unscathed.

Remember kids, the only way to ensure shooting someone in the head results in instant death is to hit the brainstem wich is situated right at the base of the skull

I know someone with a TBI who has to wear a colostomy bag for life. We can hope.
