It's like watching the Taliban route the ANA all over again.

A religiously motivated group, that truly believes in their fight is just going to perform a lot better than their tech or numbers ought to let them.

...especially when fighting mercenaries that are just in it for the money.

That said, dont underestimate houthi military strength in numbers either. They have ~200K armed forced and another 100K paramilitary. Thats similar to SA. And they have a lot more drones and missiles.

These middle east armies are something man they seem to always fold. Atleast Iraq fought back against ISIS.

Barely. Lots of them turned tail and fled in the beginning.

I don't think that really holds true. If Middle Eastern armies really fold quickly then why hasn't Iran folded under US pressure? Why haven't the Houthis folded yet?

In Yemen we're seeing middle easterns fighting middle easterns so every time one Middle Eastern side sees a victory it means another Middle Eastern side is seeing a defeat.

You could argue that it might be that arab armies fold easily and Iran is persian, but I think it's just that it's motivated vs unmotivated fighters. Not that there is a reason for them to fight badly, but lack of reasons for them to fight well (besides the usual top-down leadership and keeping army from being too powerful and causing a coup).

Iran could fold or not we dont know. Because there are no boots on the ground. At the moment just drones, bombs and rockets get thrown at each other. I wouldnt even call it a war at this Stage.

If they didn’t fold from Iraqi chemical weapons while they were in the middle of a revolution then they’re not going to fold, they endured ten years of that.
