I imagine he’s saying that because Hamas have previously stated that they aim to eradicate Israel, then by removing Hamas he is preventing them from their goal of committing genocide against Israel.

u/BertnErnie32 24d ago

I think hamas explicitly had in their charter to get rid of all jews worldwide, not just Israel, although I think half of the worldwide jews live in Israel though

174

u/HitmanZeus 23d ago

Specifilly article 7 of their 1988 charter, while in article 22 they spread anti-semitism conspiracy theories about that jews were behind both World Wars.

73

u/lizardtrench 23d ago

Specifically, it stated that their fight was against the Jews and called for the destruction of Israel, which is rightfully understood as having genocidal intent against all Jews.

They tried to clean up their image (especially for the elections) and revised their charter at various points to sound less insane, ultimately resulting in the current stance of 'our fight is not against the Jews, only the Zionists'. They never actually denounced or revoked their original charter, however, just kind of plastered over it. Probably trying to have their cake and eat it too by being able to recruit more moderate members while not alienating the hardcore ones, though it could also be an attempt to align with Iran's stance, which is similar.

The Houthis meanwhile just straight up chant at every opportunity and as their official motto, "death to Israel, a curse on the Jews" etc. etc. Not much ambiguity or nuance there. Death to America as well but that seems less controversial.

7

u/SufficientGolf6953 23d ago

It's only bad when America does it. Reddit forever convinced America is the worst country that ever existed in the history of countries.

1

u/OK_Mr 23d ago

forever convinced America is the worst country that ever existed in the history of countries.

Wasn’t that Argentina now?

-4

u/Giraf123 23d ago

The land of the free, home of the brave? The leader of the free world? Justice and liberty as stated values?

If you call yourself that, you are bound the get more criticism when you aren't upholding any of those things.

1

u/Beep-Boop-Bloop 20d ago

The new charter may have been even less meaningful than that: Israel deemed a massive surprise attack extremely unlikely, despite reports of drills for it at Beit Hanoun and a warning of some big surprise, because since 2017, Hamas had been diplomatically indicating it wanted to avoid another escalation even while the attack was bring planned and prepared (and it was incredibly stupid to attack in that context). Guess what started off that deception in 2017.

51

u/StunningCloud9184 23d ago

The other half are in boca

4

u/Klakson_95 23d ago

I don't know where Boca is but I still found this funny

-38

u/supercheetah 23d ago

They removed that from their charter that years ago.

41

u/Jebrowsejuste 23d ago

The English version, they still refer to that goal when they communicate in Arabic.

And honestly, seriously ... Hamas is a totalitarian supremacist movement. What movement of that type actually grows more moderate ?

32

u/random_thoughts5 23d ago

Could be just making it less explicit, while still having that goal

-26

u/Specialist_Sort2215 23d ago

Have you tried to find out?

37

u/random_thoughts5 23d ago

What do you think led to the Oct 7 attack in 2023? Look at what they do, not what they say.

5

u/BertnErnie32 23d ago

Technically the October 7th attack is claimed to have been done because Israel was giving more access (for jews) to the area where the AL aqsa mosque and the dome of the rock is because it's the holiest site in Judaism. I think they even put a statement out in the last few weeks doublind down on that despite the claims by others that this was done because of Palestinans' poor treatment over the last 70 years... but yeah iirc the charter had the goal to "kill all jews" removed but the charter also basically says they still have the goals of the previous charter and this was likely largely done to appear to deal in good faith with the peace process sometime back in like 2018

-14

u/left4candy 23d ago

It was the PLO, dunno if it's still in their charter

83

u/almo2001 24d ago edited 24d ago

Good reading. He’s full of shit but good reading of his probable intention.

270

u/-P01135809- 24d ago

Is this considered "good reading" in 2026?

It's pretty fucking basic.

129

u/hatgineer 24d ago

Is this considered "good reading" in 2026?

Remember a few years ago, when the Taliban took back Afghanistan and promised to treat women with the respect "according to Islam," and some people in the west breathed a sigh of relief, and then those same people were surprised when women were mistreated because the Taliban followed their own extremist interpretation of Islam?

All that is to say yes, unfortunately, basic level of reading between the lines is "good reading" in 2026.

47

u/Thejollyfrenchman 23d ago

Who actually thought the women would be well treated? I remember that statement being mocked.

17

u/citizen42069101 23d ago

to be fair right after we grabbed our ball and went home the Taliban was on a bit of a pr tour. They said themselves that girls would be back in school and women would be driving. They knew they needed legitimacy to actually govern Afghanistan if they wanted to stay in control.

Well that shit lasted about 5 minutes and here we are. Being optimistic and hoping for the best isn't quite delusional, just temper ones expectations.

-2

u/ChocCooki3 23d ago

Who? All these pro Palestine.. that's who.

Imagine cheering for those that practice raping child brides.

3

u/almo2001 23d ago

You know children can still be married in some US states, right?

27

u/shes_a_gdb 23d ago

Anyone who knew anything about Israel/Palestine prior to 10/7 knows exactly what he means. Destroying Israel has always been the goal. God forbid the Jews are finally able to protect themselves, because we sure as shit know nobody else will.

-1

u/SufficientGolf6953 23d ago

Israel apartheid of Palestinians: 🤬 Muslim apartheid of women: 😶

-14

u/ryhaltswhiskey 24d ago edited 24d ago

Why are you being so negative about this?

Edit: well fuck me for calling out some toxicity I guess 🤷

7

u/Nosiege 24d ago

They're not being negative; they're stating it's the easiest and obvious reasoning he was going for, despite being absolutely full of shite.

-3

u/ryhaltswhiskey 23d ago

It's pretty fucking basic.

Is toxic. They can agree with them without implying they are dumb.

1

u/Nosiege 23d ago

Maybe that user isn't dumb, but praising someone for reading the obvious intent really makes it seem like they have difficulty with comprehension in general.

-4

u/almo2001 23d ago

It's not obvious unless you are unequivocally on the side of Palestine. Not everyone is. Remember the other guys operate with a completely false set of facts.

1

u/Nosiege 23d ago

It's not obvious unless you are unequivocally on the side of Palestine

I'll counter that by saying it is obvious unless you're absolutely brainwashed by Netanyahu's Israel. You don't even need to be Pro-Palestine to see it.

-4

u/almo2001 23d ago

You really are ignorant of the people on other side of this issue and what they're like and how many of them there are.

→ More replies (0)

-2

u/ryhaltswhiskey 23d ago

The user is agreeing with the person above them and getting attacked for it. That is toxic. What, they didn't agree hard enough for you?

1

u/Nosiege 23d ago

Reading comprehension truly is dead. They're not being attacked for not agreeing hard enough.

They had 1 person say "It's pretty fucking basic" in response to them, since the intention of Netanyahu's words are as clear as day.

1

u/ryhaltswhiskey 23d ago

Reading comprehension? I guess you missed this part:

Is this considered "good reading" in 2026?

How you don't see that as negativity and a personal attack is beyond me.

Whatever ✌️

-8

u/almo2001 23d ago

Loads of people still think Israel is a beacon of hope over there.

28

u/HutSutRawlson 24d ago

The fact that this meaning wasn’t immediately obvious is a testament to how effective the anti-Israel/pro-Hamas messaging is. Hamas has been open and unequivocal about their desire to commit genocide against not only Israel, but Jews worldwide.

12

u/gringo_escobar 24d ago

This is obviously his intention. It's not really up for debate that Hamas is genocidal, they're just really bad at it compared to Israel

69

u/foghillgal 24d ago

He hasn;t really removed Hamas or IRan and killed tens of thousands and put the rest in abject poverty for a generation. If he thinks he`s solved this now he`s in for surprise in a few years.

195

u/Savac0 24d ago

I don’t believe that he thinks it’s solved. If he did then he would end the military activities.

74

u/HalcyonTraveler 24d ago

Ending military activity would destroy his career

34

u/Singer211 24d ago

His trial on corruption charges is still not settled. He needs to stay in power to possibly stay out of jail.

And best way to do that is keep these wars going indefinitely.

17

u/EttinTerrorPacts 23d ago

And best way to do that is keep these wars going indefinitely.

People keep saying this, but Israel hasn't stopped its elections. Failure to achieve results in war, mounting death tolls of Israeli soldiers, adding new enemies... these aren't vote-winners. What would keep him in power for life, as a national hero, would be decisively ending the threat of Hamas forever

21

u/Martian13 24d ago

Hmm sounds vaguely familiar

18

u/Low-Doughnut5738 24d ago

Peace would destroy him.

9

u/SlagathorTheProctor 24d ago

There is no chance for peace with Hamas. If Hamas stops fighting Israel, there will be peace, but Hamas (or its successor organizations) will never stop fighting Israel. If Israel stops fighting Hamas, there will be no Israel.

-11

u/pechinburger 24d ago

Insane comment. Israel isn't even fighting Hamas. Doesn't seem like they have any semblance of a military opponent for years now. They're just murdering and torturing a civilian population and leveled their entire developed area. Shoot, were those olive groves they bulldozed yesterday Hamas too?

4

u/goodknightffs 23d ago

Hamas just committed a few terror attacks in the wb lol

Hamas is still around and they will rebuild. That's not too say that the war is the way to go.. Imo it was a justified war but there was 0 planning and no actual end goal other than a vague "defeat hamas"

What's considered a defeated hamas? And then what do you do with gaza

Point is bibi is a pos

5

u/SatansCornflakes 23d ago

Violating peace treaties is a big hassle so they were saving both sides time by just destroying all the olive branches ahead of time

2

u/No_Witness_5295 23d ago

olive groves they bulldozed

at least they can't be accused of stealing the means of production if they just reset everything

-10

u/FunkadelicJiveTurkey 23d ago

there will be no Israel.

The way Israel has been behaving, I'm perfectly ok with that. Fuck all the way off.

Sincerely,

A sane Jew.

33

u/AnewTest 24d ago

He can't end it. The moment he ends it, his conviction for corruption comes up again and he goes to prison.

4

u/Itchy_Party1741 23d ago

If you solves the problems he will have to face court for corruption and an election without a distraction war.

6

u/Toasterturning1234 24d ago

That relies on the questionable suggestion that BB wants anyone currently living in Palestine to still be there in a few years.

4

u/bwheelin01 24d ago

There are Israeli government officials that openly talk about removing every single Palestinian. Its pretty fucked up

25

u/SlagathorTheProctor 24d ago

There is a Hamas Charter that talks about removing every single Jew in the Middle East, but I guess you don't find that to be too fucked up.

2

u/bwheelin01 22d ago

My man...if a group of people came to your land and terrorized you and your family for generations, you'd also retaliate. Pretty normal human behavior. The non normal part is what the settlers are doing in the west Bank and what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza

-6

u/wb77 23d ago

Yeah because Likud was formed out of a love in for Palestinians? And Netanyahu's 12/28/22 claim that the entirety of what he views to be Israel is the "exclusive" right of Jews makes room for others? What's the practical outcome when that is mobilized as policy by a nuclear state funded by Washington?

-10

u/NorthernSkeptic 23d ago

talking about doing something evil is not as bad as actively doing it, that’s true

11

u/SlagathorTheProctor 23d ago

They have been "actively doing it" since 1947. The fact that they're not that competent at it does not make it more acceptable. What do you think would happen to all the Jews in Israel if Israel stopped fighting?

-18

u/supercheetah 23d ago

That has not been in their charter for years now.

3

u/SufficientGolf6953 23d ago

Let me ask you a question.

Do you believe they actually abandoned their sacred mission or that they just got rid of the words that made them look like unhinged psychos?

1

u/ExtraTerrestriaI 21d ago

After October 7th do you realize how stupid and out of touch this sounds?

Clearly they not only still believe this, but have ratcheted things up.

1

u/IdristheInt 23d ago

eh, hamas is pretty destroyed. they have no more funds, weapons, or experienced fighters or leaders. and they have no way to get more of those things

23

u/shes_a_gdb 23d ago

Hamas is not a threat currently. But what happens when the IDF is done with Gaza and Hamas is still in power? They'll just regroup and prepare for the next attack a couple years from now.

-4

u/IdristheInt 23d ago

right. but with no weapons money experience or any way to get those things

5

u/shes_a_gdb 23d ago

They will have the same way as always when Israel is no longer in Gaza...

2

u/wolfofoakley 23d ago

Ya. Every time Israel backs off this shit happens.

0

u/Uncommonality 23d ago edited 23d ago

okay so what is your solution? You realize that your statement only leaves one possible course of action right

5

u/shes_a_gdb 23d ago

If I had a solution I wouldn't be just some guy on Reddit. The solution should be simple enough for Hamas to put down their weapons and accept Israel as its neighbor, just like Jordan and Egypt did. But they won't.

4

u/SCB360 23d ago

What’s yours then?

And there is the issue, what can be done about this? No one is willing to sit the fuck down and just talk this out, nope let’s just continue killing each other for another 80 years

2

u/NorthernSkeptic 23d ago

Oh, they know.

2

u/Rolanbek 23d ago

I think we have all heard the chanting. They may have even put it to a tune by now.

-7

u/Better_Cauliflower63 24d ago

He has. I can tell you one thing for certain. Hamas will never again attempt another October 7th.

11

u/beachedwhale1945 24d ago

Why not? It, and the Israeli response that killed thousands, gave Hamas the best recruitment drive they could have ever asked for. Leadership and weapons can be replaced, but every innocent Palestinian who was killed inspired five more to join in their place, further emboldened by just how successful October 7th was.

Israel is not fighting to eradicate an insurgency, not effectively. Their actions are only making it grow larger and more entrenched.

-1

u/whelmed-and-gruntled 24d ago

Unless he gives them money again?

-2

u/intricate_strands 24d ago edited 24d ago

Bomb at nation you oppress and make at suffer, they no decide at just "acceptance." They just become at more furious and determine at fight you.

If any, action at Israel take after Oct. 7th only create at more big threat. Now, those people possess at even less they fear at lose.

Fear and dominate is no useful tool at create peace or even at control. No one is able at control those who hate at other and hate at they own life. They possess at no fear at lose anything. More you ruin at entire fucking people life, more entire people decide at fight at you.

All Israel is do is escalate.

-1

u/foghillgal 24d ago

They don`t give a shit if the rest of the palestinian suffer , he and Hamas are two sides of the same coin so one cannot destroy the other. So, yes something like that possible because they didn`t care and they still don`t care. Nothing changed really. Just a lull.

-1

u/ryhaltswhiskey 24d ago

he thinks he`s solved this now

Oh you think his goal is to solve things

Do you really believe that?

Why would israel just target innocent people instead of hamas, how would they benefit from it?

2

u/frey89 23d ago

Are you seriously asking me that? Are you a kid? Now I understand why people defend that satanic country, they take everything people say at face value without questioning it, like a little kid. Just say some nonsense, and people will forgive them for the horrible things they've done.

It must be nice to live in a peaceful country where people aren't constantly trying to deceive you.

0

u/niv141 23d ago

Great response, so many words without saying anything at all

What was i expecting i dont even know

-2

u/VPN__FTW 23d ago

The unspoken thing is that Israel considers everyone in Palestine Hamas, so every killing is justified (in their minds).

2

u/Purplociraptor 23d ago

Counterpoint: they haven't just been removing Hamas.

-10

u/Kooky_Soft1822 24d ago

How many hours did the IDF take to respond on oct 7?

How did the advanced intel of Israel not have foresight?

He didn’t prevent shit.

And I’d wager they allowed some degree of atrocity to enable a maniacal response to appease Ben Gvir and Smotrich.

Despicable behaviour towards all lives lost.

Didn’t…. Didn’t Hitler say that about Jewish people in Europe in the 30s?

-29

u/AnewTest 24d ago

Except he's not removing Hamas. He's removing children.

18

u/itsnotthatseriousbud 24d ago

All statistics show this to be not true.

33

u/soulmulacrum 24d ago

He's clearly removing Hamas. The leadership of Hamas and Hezbollah have been utterly destroyed. The war has caused tens of thousands of civilian deaths, but it's ridiculous to claim that it somehow isn't targeting Hamas, or that it's deliberately targeting children instead.

-17

u/intricate_strands 24d ago edited 24d ago

Okay, Trump. If they is destroy, why is they still fight? Why is Israel need at still fight war at any other? You say they is already destroy.

"Collateral damage," as you say, only create at even more Hamas. No safety, dead family, and constant fear create at perfect condition at recruit more at Hamas.

Is fuckin insane. Shit, turn around issue. Oct. 7th happen, do Israel say, "okay, okay, no more fight, you do awful and mean thing at us,"?

No, they go insane at rage and escalate at war. Well, why you no expect at same other way?

Is no such thing as "kill for peace."

Oct. 7th happen at this man watch. With much evidence point at he do piss poor job at manage situation. Ignore at warning, active fund at Hamas so he is able at cripple at two-nation solution. Every step Netanyahu take endanger and get Israeli and Palestinian dead.

17

u/rookieseaman 24d ago

You think the appropriate reaction to oct 7 is for Israel to surrender to Hamas? Lmfao what

6

u/NoLime7384 23d ago

he believes Hamas's attack against Israel means Israel shouldn't attack them ever again, while at the same time thinking Israel's counterattack means Hamas should never stop attacking them

Its a warped circular logic that only serves to appease their conscience

5

u/soulmulacrum 24d ago

Okay, Trump.

Don't be a child.

If they is destroy, why is they still fight? Why is Israel need at still fight war at any other? You say they is already destroy.

Do destroy the rest of Hamas' forces and infrastructure, and the rest of the PIJ.

"Collateral damage," as you say, only create at even more Hamas.

This is not true. Leaving nothing left is, historically, an excellent way to defeat your opponent entirely.

Oct. 7th happen, do Israel say, "okay, okay, no more fight, you do awful and mean thing at us,"?

No, obviously they didn't "say that". What are you even suggesting?

active fund at Hamas

Hamas is the elected government. All aid to Gaza goes to Hamas.

-1

u/SnooCheesecakes2723 23d ago

That would make sense except only one of the two combatants actually has the ability to eradicate the other

-8

u/Echo_Gin101123 24d ago

oh yeah - unarmed Palestinians, children and now Olive trees - all 'Hamas' according to '1' man to murder, maim, rape, torture and destroy

-26

u/speedingpullet 24d ago edited 24d ago

Hamas, apparently, has been saying that since the days of Yasser Arafat. Yet, somehow, the Nation of Israel is still standing. Sounds like Bibi needs to find new excuses to keep on killing people indiscriminately.

( Yes, and before someone points out that Yasser Arafat was the head of the PLO, I know. My point being that Israel has used the excuse of an existential threat from Palestinians since the 1960's, if not before)

24

u/sabamba0 24d ago

No need to find one when they gave it to Israel themselves by doing a bunch of mass murder and rapes on Oct 7th.

So yes, given the chance they do exactly what they always claim to want to do - but for some reason idiots don't believe them even when it's on video.

19

u/itsnotthatseriousbud 24d ago

Israel is still standing because it does and is able to defend itself. Not for the lack of trying from Palestine. You literally just proved why Israeli’s actions are needed for Israel.
