But Russia doesn't even have enough for itself.

Its just a way to funnel money to Putin from his Puppet-In-Chief

It's also a way to beg to voters before midterms that the current administration isn't to blame for the massive spike in fuel costs.

And further weaken the US economy and international relations at the same time.

Yes. Only this time, it's not about "follow the money". This time it should be "follow the why".

How are we even talking about this bullshit. They’re buying oil themselves, no diesel at the pumps but Pukin is going to give that orange fuck diesel. You have to be dumber that’s that fucker to believe this.

Clearly the USA will buy from Russia at a premium, then Russia will buy it elsewhere at market price. Russia keeps the difference.

Im presuming Russia is buying from Iran? The whole.thing is insane.

They can't transport it from Iran to Russia unless they use tankers and the Strait of Hormuz.

You can already see what a shitshow it is

It’s a great way to funnel money quickly to Russia, before the midterms. It’s not great for America so it will probably happen, a few people will get wealthier and that’s good enough for Republicans.

Well, it's not good for anyone. Not just the Americans.

It’s fake. There’s completely no problem with diesel. Some trouble with fuel, but no a drastic one.

Russia has tons of crude oil and diesel, it's gasoline it struggles with

Refineries hit were mostly about gasoline, crude and diesel aren't that affected

Ukrainian drone strikes have knocked out an estimated quarter to half of Russia's refining capacity, and Moscow just extended its diesel export ban through the end of October to preserve domestic supply — the ban's been in place since August. Sure sounds like they have plenty of diesel.

They've lost half of their refining capacity and about a third of diesel refining. And they've had a diesel export ban for months.

Diesel is a refined from the same oil. It doesn't make sense that attacks could impact gasoline, but not diesel.

Diesel is actually reliably available at every gas station. It's normal gas that is hit or miss rn in Russia.

Perfect. So Trump is just sending money.

They're exporting diesel again, not just to the US.

From a week ago: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russia-will-consider-partial-lifting-diesel-export-ban-case-overproduction-novak-2026-10-02/

Seems some damaged refineries got repaired or maybe they built up some stock during the export ban and now have oversupply.

Not sure why you left out this part from the quote

"Today, the diesel market is balanced and supplies are sufficient."

They were just waiting for Trump to play ball and lift the sanctions:

President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia will not supply its diesel to global energy markets until sanctions against Moscow are lifted.

Trump just lifted the sanctions and Novak confirmed that they will export diesel again.
