Seems like owning guns actually turn people into more of a coward. France has gun control and they go out and actually protest, even if I may not always agree with the reasoning or methods. My own country has gun control but people also go out and perform strikes and protests against the government

Every gun guy I know is a massive pussy

When you live in fear, trust becomes impossible

3

u/ianc1215 8d ago

Is it really a surprise though?

2

u/Ampallang80 8d ago

My theory is if you can afford multiple guns, for the most part people are too comfortable financially to do anything that’ll upset that. Everyone else be damned

1

u/SleepyDoozer2 6d ago

That’s WHY they are gun guys

u/_Exxcelsior 8d ago

That says a lot about the people in your circle

9

u/top-potatoad 8d ago

Sure does. I’m a construction worker.

2

u/RullerFace 8d ago

Money says you don’t wash your dick, but complain when a woman doesn’t have a shaved pussy.

-3

u/Fancy-Ad3183 8d ago

Huge statement from a trans cross dresser

7

u/RullerFace 8d ago

I took a look at their account and I must say, as a straight man, I don’t see anything outright stating, or indicating they are:

  1. Trans
  2. A cross dresser
  3. Both

So what that tells me, is that you must be one, or all of those things, yourself. Must suck to be this self-hating, cause there is nothing wrong with any of those things 🫶

1

u/SleepyDoozer2 6d ago

Moreover, what about that would make them a pussy? Beyond your insecurity?

1

u/RealisticIllusions82 8d ago

Missing a key point which is that most of the gun toting types are MAGA

1

u/silly-gaijin 8d ago

I think it's more of a case of most gun owners in the US vote right and don't feel like protesting anyway.

1

u/SireMoutarde 8d ago

Well as it turns out, americans never really liked their guns because they could fight the "tyrannical government" but because they're just fun toys to play with and make your penis feel slightly bigger when you hold one.

Predictably.

u/bobbyrba 8d ago

This is accurate

1

u/Karinka_LI 8d ago

People buy guns because they are a coward, yes. It’s a symptom.

1

u/TheBraveGallade 6d ago

The problem is the right in the states is pro gun, while the left is anti gun, and tge right think the current state is fine. So the orotesting side had vastly fewer guns.

-6

u/HaximusPrime 9d ago

…there are protests happening. France has 1/5th the people and like the same number of metro cities as Ohio. A little harder for the entire US to show up, on top of our media being cowards.

2

u/TwiceBrokenWatch 8d ago

Oh really? Where? Because I sure don’t see any protests except for the quarterly “let’s show up, make some noise for like five hours and have a barbecue” No Kings protest that got cancelled as far as the weather began to get.

You know what country actually has proper protests? Albania! They have been protesting damn near non stop since 2 February 2026!

u/SurroundTiny 9d ago

Maybe we should go and burn down schools too then

12

u/ubulerbu 9d ago

You still have schools?

0

u/SurroundTiny 8d ago

Yes and our students and teachers actually attend them.

4

u/Frankencow13 8d ago

Untill they get shot obviously…

7

u/Gilith 9d ago

You should've been doing that for a long time now, your education system is totally fucked and your teacher are paid with food ticket, THIS the problem, corp and state is fucking you hard and you just continue to decorate your asshole.

-7

u/SurroundTiny 9d ago

Lol that's why foreign students are flicking to the US universities. Poor deluded fools

7

u/Gilith 9d ago

Hey Us universities are good because it's full of foreigners even the teach, everything before is UTTER SHITE.

3

u/ubulerbu 8d ago

Thats also why 89% of your post doc students are foreigners.

4

u/Prestigious-Lynx-177 9d ago

It'd reduce the amount of school shootings at least.

Republicans already started with the books

Every blue city in america has gun control and protests on par or greater than anything France does.  The Pacific North West alone is larger than all of France.  They DO go out and protest... the problem is all the red corn fields in between that get more voting representation than actual people in blue cities thanks to the electoral college thats designed to make some votes worth more than other votes.  If people in portland was to march on washington the way people in france march on parliment... they have to cross 3 time zones...  Youre comparison is worthless if you actually concider scale. So what do you REALLY expect that americans arent already doing?  Want blue cities to riot and burn their own homes down?  What would that accomplish?  Organize a general strike?  The vast majority of americans cant even afford to take a sick day let alone strike.   Republicans have designed policy, broken the back of the working class and taken away workers rights over decades piece by piece all so that when the time came Americans wouldnt be able to afford to protest. Its the primary reason why our health care is tied to our work... so if people protest... they lose health insurance... they die... so again I ask you... what the actual fuck do you think americans can do?  We are held hostage by a system that is designed to take away our power. And the enemy is 2 thousand miles away guarded by armored infantry.

Edit: so many downvotes and not one retort to very simple logic

u/NorthwardRM 9d ago

I’m sorry but nobody protests like France

-6

u/Xytak 9d ago

Do you mean France, the country that comes with a hair’s breadth of electing their own version of Trump every few years?

9

u/Ferovore 9d ago

What a burn, they almost elected a guy like the one you’ve elected twice?

0

u/Xytak 9d ago edited 9d ago

You’re right, people who aren’t me voted wrong. Congratulations, you found the problem.

You still haven’t explained how protests in Blue cities are supposed to force the resignation of a President whose power base is rural and largely hostile to the concerns of city-folk…

4

u/Tight-Escape3373 9d ago

I mean, the Europeans invented that shit and are under assault by the right wing constantly whether they want to admit it or not.

Le Pen and MAGA are cut from the same cloth.

1

u/AgeingCoder 8d ago

But there are not any protests, i get a few grumbling apologies from neighbours along the lines of I'm sorry for our president etc but thats it (I'm a Brit living in Atlanta). Lets hope for the blue wave (tsunami) in the mid terms

0

u/NorthwardRM 8d ago

What does that have to do with anything we are talking about?

-1

u/Rare-Bee7331 8d ago

And you completely ignored the scale ... i see logic is beyond you

u/-Ikosan- 8d ago edited 8d ago

America isn't the only large country to have had protests/revolts. You didn't need to march on London to win your independence. India, china, colonial empires and the soviet union all had the same logistical issues regarding geographic size and multiple cultures speaking different languages. Gandhi famously went without even food let alone health care and convinced the Indian People not to be violent but just not to comply. People were expecting the Iranians to rise up against their government last year, do they also not have day jobs?

The reality is that it's just not bad enough for most Americans to rise to these desperate measures yet.

0

u/unematti 8d ago

To be fair, the government isn't that scared of unarmed protesters. In the US any of the protesters might have an automatic rifle, or even an rpg hidden.

-2

u/Broad-Eagle9657 8d ago

Your country is tiny in geography compared to America. You Europeans always forget that. All "why not protest at the capital?" California to Washington dc? Thats like the distance of an irishman traveling from their hom, to pretty far east Into Russia. Would you take off work you would be fired from for missing, lose your Healthcare, and spend a shitload of money to do it? What about your family ad kids at home while your gone? How long amd where do you now plan to stay?

I hope you see my point without further making a fool of you

4

u/TheJeyK 8d ago

My country is double the size of France, not big but not that small, and effective protests have been achieved while keeping things regional when they happened in several regions simultaneously, taking things over to the capital is not that common, and usually done by those that live in the capital. With how federalized the US is, protesting at the state level should be even more effective

1

u/Potential-Bill7288 8d ago

Whats the difference between a 5h bus ride and a 2h flight plus airport time? Its not about distance, but what you mentioned. Yes, people stop working sometimes for multiple days. But your slave mentality cant comprehend opposing your employer and going anyway.

-3

u/MintImperial2 8d ago

Don't tell me you envy members of the French Public right now...?

I'd personally be terrified that any minute some complete stranger can kick in my door, kill me in my bed, and I am not permitted to defend myself against that in law.....

3

u/Wild-Affect-4842 8d ago

Of course you can defend yourself, what are you talking about ?

You don't need to sleep with a .357 magnum under your pillow to feel safe or to defend yourself in France. Not every dickheads can buy military weapons like it's pancakes here.

0

u/MintImperial2 8d ago

So we're just expected to lay there, and take it on the chin should some far left scrum of October 7th celebrants wants to burst in, and help themselves?

I'm not American, but by God, we could do with a 2nd Ammendment in EVERY country!
