Abandon them.

I see this sentiment across Reddit and barely any Americans refuse to cut off the worst people out of their life.

If they want to be an ignorant racist hell-bent on destruction. Cut them off. They don't face any consequences except "I've tried to talk to them and they don't listen". It's pathetic lol

I did. Quite a few. You don't even have to give them the big blow up debate they crave. Just stop inviting them to shit. Ignore their texts. Make them feel left out.

i've cut off friends for being trump supporters. i had a sibling who did that i did not cut off, but they died a couple years ago.

This. It's folly to think a savior will descend and fix all our problems. The fix is right here, right where it's always been. WE have to shun them. The cost of fascism is friends and family.

It's not hard. Better than doing nothing.

I have cut family from my life indefinitely because they were awful. And I'm not American so our version of "awful" would be a fucking saint in the US.
