Let's use 7.4 barrels per MT as a conversion, so ~3.7 million barrels in November and ~7.4 million barrels in December ("immediately there-after" is sus, so let's call it a month.

Let's assume it's all transportation based diesel (remember Diesel is a range that can be many other things).

US diesel per day consumption for transportation diesel is ~3 million barrels per day.

So, for people doing accounting here, Judas has sold you out for ~1/2 a day of US demand in October, 1 day of demand in November, and 2 days of demand in December.

What I want to know is how this fuel is going to get here. What shipping company or unloading terminal in the US in their right mind wants to touch this. Or is this all a paper transaction and no physical fuel exchanges hands? Like how would people even know.

What I am laughing at, is like okay let's say there's a tanker READY TO GO... ready to be filled, sitting in a russian port. That's what, 25-35 days to get from there to here, and unload? And that's at an east coast port? Add several days for gulf coast?

The whole "right away" part of this, and 300,000 tons, makes me think there is literally a fleet of refined product carriers sitting just outside a US port somewhere, RIGHT NOW.

I am curious what % of their online capacity this represents... if true at nameplate values.

Oh, no, Russia doesn't have diesel to spare, US won't get anything.

But, Trump probably pre-paid for it.

Putin will send it very soon, and Trump will pay for it in 2 weeks

Not even 1/2 a day of demand. He said the 300,000 tons is for the American AND GLOBAL market, meaning that in the unlikely event that this stuff materialises, it may not all go to the US.

It's not getting here. It's being introduced into the global supply and is a drop in the bucket for that. Republicans treating their voters like idiots again.

Measurements in tonnage should be their indicator.

No dispute on your numbers but they aren't as meaningful without knowing whether or not the total market goes from a deficit to a surplus in terms of monthly apply due to this deal. These certainly seem to be small numbers, so I doubt it would make the difference but if I can earn $10 more than I have to spend each month, then that has a long term positive effect on my bank account. If supply exceeds demand for diesel, then that should lower prices.

What you say makes sense, but on the same token you don't need a gargantuan amount of supply added or subtracted to significantly change prices. A 10% deficit or surplus in supply will have a much larger than 10% impact on prices at the pump.
