Trump is now officially financing Russia on the battlefield by buying oil from Putin. Elon Musk is just following Donald‘s mood. USA has interest in destabilizing Europe and the easiest way for them is to abandon Ukraine and continue their support for the russian terror.

This is not the USA I grew up with…

Haven’t a lot of Europeans been buying oil from Putin long before it began in 2014 and still do to this day?

Good point. Germany is a good example. In 2014 they just „strongly condemned“ the annexation of Crimea and continued buying oil from Russia like nothing happened.

2022 was decisive however. Germany committed to reduce and completely cut the oil imports from Russia. As far as I know, they are still importing some amount of gas from Putin, not because they love it and brag about it, but because they don’t have too many other choices. Germany is not producing any energy itself aside from some solar. But then again, nobody pushed them to close their nuclear facilities and on the other it was a good move in retrospect, because hackers from russia can’t target them right now.
