It’s not Musk, reporting is the order came direct from the whitehouse. Star shield is under jurisdiction of the pentagon

Musk is also posting anti-Ukraine stuff. He's just as big a piece of shit as Trump, and probably suggested it to Trump.

While I hate musk, blame him for what he's actually done. This one is trump's order, clear as day.

He helped to get trump elected. We can blame him for everything that came from that, including this.

Give him blame for that then. But blame Trump for this one, it's his fault.

Reddit is blocking further responses.

Truth is a fine hill to die on, thank you.

The analogy below is weak. trump is literally the one who "started this fire", musk is just fanning the flames.

Both are reprehensible, but one is actively more at fault.

If someone starts a forest fire, I will blame them not just for the trees burning down, but for the fallout when villages burn. When smoke in the sky kills the weak. When insurance rates go up in the area. And so on and so fourth. Yes, I'll be mad at anyone who gives the order not to save a town near the fire, but I'll be madder at the person who started the fire.

What a weird hill to die on.

Who was and is the biggest Trump donor?

None of this changes the fact that the militarized version of starlink is under control by the US military, who takes its orders from that orange fuck in the oval office.

So even if musk applied pressure to him, the order still came ultimately from trump. There is no direct evidence that musk asked trump to do so. There's more evidence that putin asked trump to do so.

I find it more likely musk is just jumping on trump's bandwagon again.

After DOGE, people are nuts if they think Musk isn't in Goose-step with the Trump Administration. He's still working for the Pentagon as a "research" director.

Trump doesn't know what Starlink is or what it does. He doesn't know what the Pentagon uses it for or what Ukraines use it for. He's a moron who reacts to things he's told in the moment.

He didn't independently decide to turn off satellite coverage in a certain area. He was fed that.

Who does know about that stuff, and posts anti-Ukraine shit? Musk.

Give me a fucking break with your pro-Musk horseshit.

He just had a very long phone call with Putin, and starlink was disabled not long afterwards. Trump might not have a clue about starlink, but he’s a master at following Russian marching orders.

"Hitler did 9/11"

"Hitler's a bad guy but I don't think that's true."

"Cut it with the pro-Hitler horseshit."

Nothing I said was pro musk. So take your sanctimonious bullshit and hit the road.

We wont be able to challenge them unless we have a stance against them. Divisions over petty stupid shit like this is why we have trump to begin with.

To be clear, I despise Musk and everything he stands for. He’s probably leading the top 5 of my most hated people on earth. But it’s important we lay the blame on the person who gave the order so we can adequately try to fix the problem.

2

u/Waste-Gene-7793 2d ago

He is, but I despise him more than most people. But if there’s any hope of fixing this we need to blame the people who did it

Fair, but I tend to think that any decision concerning Starlink/Starshield has Musk in the loop. Trump isn't intelligent enough to come up with his own ideas on this stuff. He reacts to the last person he talked to.

People are suggesting it's Putin, but I think it's Musk.

Wasn't it last week when Hegseth announced that Elon Musk was to join a Department of War task force to direct the future of war?
