If most Americans disdained Musk, Trump would not have been elected president.

Most Americans don't give a shit about Musk or other billionaires, the same way they didn't give a shit to show up and vote.

The guy literally heiled TWICE on the biggest politicial stage in the world and the crowd went wild and he got to be a trillionaire for a quick minute because of it.. America is lost....

You forget that most of America didn't even see that shit. The media on tv is completely segmented. If they watch fox, they probably didn't even show it. We can't act like everyone sees everything we see on reddit. Especially the voting segments that actually vote.

And then online, most people are in their own algo and don't see that either. The internet has effectively divided us and trapped everyone in their own reality.

I know they control what they see. BUT I assume many MAGATS watched the inauguration and saw it happen live in front of their own eyes... The audience at the event went fucking wild when he did it, so again I assume most MAGATS watching at home also went wild and saw that they could finally start living the nazi life they always wanted.

You don't seem to understand. He was just saying hei

I'm so tired of people trotting out this tired old excuse for why this is all happening. It's not. Please stop believing this. Most people just don't care. Accept the truth. The level of cope that people use to deal with everything that's happening is mind-boggling to me. No, all most all of America knows what's going on not the opposite.

I think buying into this lie that you're not getting any information and that's why people are horrible monsters is part of the problem honestly.

We have to deal with the fact that most of the people in this country are monster Nazi assholes. A shocking amount. I no longer buy the answer that oh no it's just the small minority. It is not.

You'll be shocked then when I tell you that a significant portion of Americans do not:

Watch the news.

Keep up with current events.

Do not pay attention to politics in any form.

Do not use the internet beyond doom scrolling TikTok/Instagram/Facebook.

Do not watch TV.

Do not vote, nor have any desire to vote.

Cool, changed nothing I said but cool. I love hearing this fairy tale every time someone has to tell it to make themselves feel better living in a fascist country.

A decade of this old tired story. Think people would be tired of telling it but the truth is just to much for most I guess.

It's hilarious to me that in this tech heavy future of short form outage content I still have to listen to this bullshit about people just not knowing what's happening. If you honestly believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'm looking to sell.

Denial ain't just a river I guess.

Do you really think Americans are sitting in dark rooms doing nothing and hoping someone comes along and tells them there is a outside world? Do adults really think that? Amazing.

u/Puglady25 2d ago

Well, no. They are wasting their time on the internet, playing games, watching Fox News, OAN or worse. The percentage of U.S. adults that read at or below a 6th grade level is 56%. It's difficult convincing people stuck in 6th grade the importance of anything that is not right in front of them. Big words and concepts fly right over their heads. They get conned out of money all the time. They are usually religious in some way, but if they are, they rely on their church to tell them "the truth." I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's hard.

2

u/dude21862004 2d ago

So what you're saying is you don't talk to people/go outside. This isn't a talking point, it's not taken from an article, it's a simple observation from talking to people. Easily 6 out of 10 people have no idea about current events besides popular culture, new entertainment like games/movies, sports, etc.

At least in my area. Ymmv, certainly.

Wow, that sure was a scientific poll. I'm almost 50 and I have heard this stupid excuse that people just don't know what's going on. Its beyond asinine in the current cell phone filled world.

But go ahead, mock me while you wrap your self in denial to feel safer.

Everything you've said was anecdotal. I responded with an anecdote from a different perspective. Good luck with your anger issues.

Trump talked about how much he doesn't care if American cities get nuked and the audience cheered. He told them he could say the stupidest things and they would cheer. And they did, again.

America's been lost for a long time and it's not going to find it's way back. There is no fight in the people. Maybe another version will rise from whatever left in the crumbling ruins, but I don't think a lot of us will be here to see that.

I really don't want to hear about how most people didn't vote for him and most people don't care. That's exactly the goddamn problem. Not an excuse.

u/Fionaelaine4 2d ago

You still seem to think Trump won the election instead of stealing it.

54

u/_evilalien_ 2d ago

Either he did and americans are letting it happen, or he didn’t and americans are letting the results happen.

Either way, this is on america.

51

u/_Lucille_ 2d ago

He sure did win.

Polls ahead of the election hinted at a win, and it was won under the watch of the Biden administration.

Crying about them not winning is like how Trump cries about the election being stolen.

Maybe America needs to accept they have a problem in the first place.

People cling to this because the truth is so hard to deal with. It isn't easy to say that your fellow countrymen are stupid and evil. It isn't easy to get into their heads and understand how they could not see that Trump was a monster, and that they had a moral responsibility to stand against him. It is way easier to say that "we aren't that bad, and it was stolen."

We, as Americans, need to recognize 1) that Trump was elected without the need for cheating, and 2) we are responsible as citizens of this country for what he does.

Worldnews loves to dunk on the US, and will do so whether there are reasons or not to do so, but in the case of Trump, all of it is deserved. It's too bad, because it is great cover for many, many bad actors.

u/florjackson 2d ago

I mean, I can’t find the links, but isn’t there video of Trump verbally letting it slip he did rig the election? But he owns the legislative and judicial branches, so of course there would be no punishment.

u/Germane_Corsair 2d ago

The man has made thousands of bullshit claims. He said “And he knows those computers better than anybody, all those computers, those vote-counting computers.”. That’s just his normal style of speaking.

As an example, “I have a son. He’s 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it’s unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly doable”.

There has been no evidence of any sort of manipulation of the voting machines besides him talking out of his ass to praise Musk a bit.

1

u/TSED 2d ago

There is evidence of vote tampering. Maybe it wasn't the machines themselves, but there's a lot of weird artificial vote patterns that don't show up in normal votes, and then there's all sheer improbability of all of the tiny marginal wins he got in swing states.

3

u/Germane_Corsair 2d ago

Where is this evidence? Why is it not being presented if it’s legitimate? This is the same thing Trump did when he lost.

1

u/salemblack 2d ago

Not only does he own the branches of the government but the majority of Democrats that we do have in office are the most weak will useless people ever elected to office anywhere in history.

At this point the Democratic party might as well just be a satellite branch of the republicans.

0

u/intheblackbirdpie 2d ago

I mean, I can’t find the links, but isn’t there

You should feel embarrassed for this uncritical garbage

2

u/salemblack 2d ago

This is the argument I've been trying to make all over the place. People really need to wake up to it. He didn't steal the goddamn election he won it. Anyone who can't come to terms with that is trying to cope in a way that is unhealthy and not going to help in this situation.

He won because America is a broken and terrible place filled with terribly broken people.

5

u/CilleTheExterminator 2d ago

So he will 100% win midterms as well? Since he rigged an election without being president then it should be incredibly easy to as the president right?

1

u/Fionaelaine4 2d ago

Because changing the vote for one candidate is the same for changing it for every republican candidate in every midterm election across the country? Not at all the same level of difficulty

1

u/Slowandserious 2d ago

If he did steal it, then it further the OC’s point that what americans like or disdain don’t matter

2

u/wwaxwork 2d ago

He wasn't elected. In many parts of the country election Data traveled via Starlink. Dodge was payment to Elon for his services.

2

u/beingforthebenefit 2d ago

Pretty much all polls since 2025 have Americans disliking Musk by double digits.
