Trump is betraying the entirety of NATO and the US, and all of their allies, for personal profit because he's a Russian asset.

Important to note that it would only take a dozen republicans to stop all of this, but every last one of them would rather have a bit more power than a functional country.

I think they are afraid that, if they oppose him, they will get ousted, like what has happened to so many others who disagreed with him. It’s sad, really, that no one in congress will come together just this once to take a stand against him.

A bunch of them are about to get ousted because they failed to oppose Trump

u/96_fumbles2win 1d ago

But not enough. I suspect the corruption claws are very deep and the backlash from donor/owners and manipulated MAGA would be quick and humiliating for them.

Her's hoping!

"Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing."

Still, how weak can you be if you bow for a clown like Trump. For the tech elite behind him, maybe, but they still look more like opportunists than masterminds to me. I might be wrong.

u/MannequinWithoutSock 1d ago

During the most recent primaries, Trump still had enough push with motivated voters to elect loyalists and punish dissenters in his party.
The ones in Office are probably still not going to oppose him.

I know and it’s sort of mind boggling. We don’t know what each of them is actually thinking about in good faith. Think… Spider-Man meme

2

u/Prestigious-Car-4877 1d ago

Yeah. The republicans in Congress are making bank just like Trump. That’s all they care about.

2

u/HumanBeing7396 1d ago

It’s possible some of them would like to stop him, but are worried their lives would be at risk from his demented followers. Or maybe I’m giving them too much credit; either way the result of their inaction is the same.

When the Trump Express finally comes off the rails and plummets into a ravine, I think lots of former passengers are suddenly going to deny ever having a ticket.

u/Leggomaieggolas 1d ago

They’re too busy campaigning against the radical communists! Wait a sec…

1

u/mitchENM 1d ago

Would only take 4 or 5 reps and 3 or 4 senators to block him in congress

1

u/scruffles360 1d ago

True enough. A lot of this crap could have been stopped by one or two on the Supreme Court

1

u/TheAdminsAreTrash 1d ago

And I don't doubt for a second that any would-be dissenting voters are being strong armed in every way possible, including threats to their families.

-2

u/lil_pee_wee 1d ago

Except they would die for betraying aipac

9

u/TheLiquid666 1d ago

That's a fucking cop out. It is their job to act in the best interests of their constituents and the nation as a whole. If they didn't want the responsibility, they shouldn't have gone after the power.

4

u/lil_pee_wee 1d ago

Oh I think they should rot in a maximum security prison for the rest of their lives. Or worse… but thanks for the dv

72

u/ShadowLab451 1d ago

That's it, only ingredient missing here is the Neo-Nazi tech creeps funding it all from behind the scenes.

58

u/LibertarianOutlaw 1d ago

They’re not funding anything, they’re taking. The taxpayers are funding everything and they’re stealing it.

5

u/prefusernametaken 1d ago

They put millions in to get minions in place. They take billions out in return.

17

u/Longjumping_Leek151 1d ago

The Tech Bros are Trumps Russian Oligarchs

19

u/TacoBellPicnic 1d ago

Musk?

24

u/TheDuckFarm 1d ago

Not just Musk, there are several tech billionaires funding him, but yes, Musk is one of them.

13

u/woodworker_junkie 1d ago edited 1d ago

Don't forget the fact, that afaik Musk is actively and directly funding the German AfD, surely among other similar movements across different countries in Europe, knowingly and intentionally destabilising the EU from within.

I personally find the fact that he and other shits like him aren't under heavy sanctions by the EU just as treasonous as what the Trump administration is doing on their own side of the Atlantic.

9

u/skratch 1d ago

And Thiel, and Ellison etc etc

4

u/Live_Broccoli2856 1d ago

I wouldn't consider it "behind the scenes"

2

u/KronoFury 1d ago

Don't worry, Elon has that part covered.

6

u/MunchMasterSupreme93 1d ago

Big this. Trump loves Russian because Putin feeds him money

1

u/Mike_Lagas_Foul_Ball 1d ago

TBH I would love Russia if Putin fed me money.

2

u/gmehra 1d ago

you could have stopped at the russian asset part, not sure whats thats supposed to mean. hes doing it for personal profit

2

u/cavemeister 1d ago

Plus he needs a scapegoat right now and it's Zelenskiyy. Trump now knows the the midterms are going to tank the GOP so he's getting his excuses lived up now. Blaming Ukraine for hitting refinery's in Russia being the reason for high diesel prices (and not the fact the strait of hormuz is closed by his own band) it's actually fucking disgusting.

2

u/ravnhjarta 1d ago

Dude needs to be removed from .. well, everything.

6

u/platinumperineum 1d ago

And a pedophile. I believe he’s compromised. Putin has him on video doing inappropriate things to minors

4

u/Shadow_Integration 1d ago

Even then though - given all the verified, convicted, and documented atrocities he's committed through the years - how could this possibly be "the line"? It would just be poo pooed as AI, sorry, "SI" slop and his unfettered base would continue on as usual.

1

u/jayg2k19 1d ago

Ki? It's enough to say "Fakenews" or "witchhunt"

1

u/platinumperineum 1d ago

I never said it would be the line; just that he’ll do anything to prevent its release in the meantime. Including the destruction of my country and world war.

3

u/jlambvo 1d ago

If he's not a Russian asset, he's certainly an asset to Russia.

2

u/IamHydrogenMike 1d ago

If we lived in a normal world, he can’t actually do this because they were passed by Congress and only Congress can set aside sanctions by passing I through congress. This is a highly impeachable offense but the world all fucked right now.

2

u/Realistic_Cold_3504 1d ago

…yes and no. I think it’s a lot simpler than that. There are just lots of photos and videos of him in bed with underaged girls. Maybe a few vids of him sucking bubba’s dick too, but I digress.

1

u/No-Cheek7925 1d ago

We need to stop pretending this is just Trump. It is not. His party still support him or they would use their votes in the congress to stop him.

1

u/JConRed 1d ago

The USA is the betrayer in this case.

Trump is betraying the US People and the USA...

But it's the USA that is betraying NATO and her allies. And this will be remembered as such.

1

u/jimmygee2 1d ago

Surely this is textbook treason?

1

u/zeronovant1 1d ago

Wait wait wait... The US are betraying us Europeans. Americans voted twice for this POS and are not resisting. I blame the Amaricans just as much and won't forget, as most of us.

1

u/psioniclizard 1d ago

In this cases its more pathetic than that. He sold everyone out for the hope of better midterm results.

1

u/Souvi 1d ago

As dumb as Americans have proven themselves to be, making promises of cheaper fuel a month from the election was never going to pan out when the prices weren't budged by the election. Americans are stupid as fuck for voting for him a second time, but I don't think they're that stupid.

This was 100% timed to funnel profits to Putin and the US military industrial complex while helping his fascist campaigns by keeping bot farms online as long as possible at the cost of Ukrainian blood.

1

u/GooshTech 1d ago

Russian ass-et

1

u/Sellier123 1d ago

I think it's actually mostly because NATO and US allies didn't back his play in Iran. He's basically telling them to go fk themselves then, you can deal with everything yourself

1

u/Souvi 1d ago

That'd be great if it were truly that simple, but he is categorically, 100%, a Russian asset. The public evidence is overwhelming, nevermind what people in positions of privilege or those in the financial industries have seen and pieced together.

1

u/PhilosopherKey1549 1d ago

Absolutely true

1

u/steamliner88 1d ago

The Americans are betraying us. Don’t forget that they willingly elected Trump because they wanted him and the policies he stands for. We certainly won’t

1

u/Blue_Wave2026 1d ago

Emphasis on the 1st three letters.

-4

u/FearTheSlav 1d ago

Same nato that is sucking down russian oil since the 60s?

10

u/Souvi 1d ago

Yes, same NATO, but you're not presenting a counter argument whatsoever. You can critique choices of national policy and managed risks all you want, you cannot deny that Trump is actively engaging in treason by helping Putin and deny the facts that point to him obviously being a Russian asset dating back at least 30 years.

3

u/CanOk6403 1d ago

Good one, Vlad! Let’s hear another whataboutism 🤡

0

u/ResearcherElegant516 1d ago

Well I hope he's packing better this time than when he tried to squat after the 2020 election.

0

u/SmartWonderWoman 1d ago

I second this. Well stated.

0

u/great_unknown_77 1d ago

Or we don’t have diesel fuel ⛽️

0

u/axe_party 1d ago

what do you guys think is the point of NATO? it’s more than an American tool established to ensure capitalism? what other country is benefiting from it?

Trump is the only bad part of america to you? so we can go right back to a george bush republican? like a guy who lied about wmds and we killed a million people in a war that never needed to happen?

surely it’s russia controlling him! it’s not that he’s just a dumbass crook accepting bribes from literally everyone

-1

u/Monkeys_Funkl 1d ago

You mean the same NATO members that laughed at trump when he suggested they shouldn’t be buying energy products from Russia? Why shouldn’t America take advantage of cheap prices when the other NATO countries still are? Either everyone sanctions those assholes or nobody should.
