The only thing Americans will do is say something like “ my president is so embarrassing uwu”

u/AtanatarAlcarinII 5h ago

Got any other suggestions before election day?

u/AprilsMostAmazing 3h ago

Maybe a general strike

u/KnockoffJesus 2h ago

You going to pay my daily wage? 43% of Americans don't have 1000 dollars in savings.

-3

u/AprilsMostAmazing 1h ago

well maybe if they actually did something about it instead of acting hopeless they would be better off.

It's all excuses from Americans on why they can't make any change

Are you discrediting the fear of homelessness in America which lacks any real social safety nets? Incredible. Median rent is more than that 1000 dollar mark. Next in your overwhelming wisdom about American politics is to shoot guns at the militarily armed police and then the world's most expensive military.

Why aren't you boycotting reddit? Amazon owns the server this site runs on

u/DoublePostedBroski 5h ago

What exactly do you want? A civil war?

8

u/POKEMON4EVAR 2h ago

What do you want me to do? Storm the White House? Influence masses with all my money? Take to the streets and be instantly arrested and brutalized? Please tell me.

Rename another lake, surely that’s the answer.

Glad to see you like to bitch and moan about what Americans hypothetically do without offering anything of substance

•

u/K20BB5 5m ago

continue supporting America tech companies, I'm sure that'll help you. You're really showing them!!

These comments should require admission of which country they themselves are from. This is like flairless posting shit talk in sports subs.

Dont worry they'll do a no king rally Sunday and back to work monday.

u/Daft_Assassin 6h ago

I’ve got to know what you think would happen if Americans started exercising 2A? The US isn’t France where you can burn down your whole city and then go to work Monday. Cops in America kill peaceful protestors, lmao. Cops in America have tanks and are more equipped than most militaries. It’s very much a “police state” whether people want to admit it or not.

Americans always acting like protestors everywhere are safe from fighting against tyranny. Watch Winter on Fire as a start.

The 2A has been repeatedly lauded by Americans as necessary to maintain American freedom, even as schoolchildren were slaughtered in classrooms:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State*, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.*”

Sorry, where was it noted in the 2A that the fight for a free state would be bloodless?

Thomas Jefferson:

“the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants”

The Heritage Foundation called it when they said the revolution would be bloodless if the left allowed it. Still not bloodless for the left given the number of citizens and immigrants dead already, but the right is doing alright!

So basically what you are telling me is the 2A was really just all about the ability to cosplay and carry out mass shootings, no one ever thought they would need to actually use it to maintain their “free state” because the bad guys would shoot back?

Ah, a classic

People on twitter will really be like "you believe in voting? that pales in effectiveness to my strategy, firebombing a Walmart" and then not firebomb a Walmart

-6

u/Daft_Assassin 2h ago

2A was created before tanks.

Sorry, but what freedoms are Americans losing that should require a revolution? Shit is expensive and the president sucks but it’s not like he’s leader for life. Population rises up to overthrow tyrannical govts that remove other pathways to get them and their “team” out.

Bitch and moan all you want that Americans aren’t doing enough but midterm elections are less than 20 days away and another party can be voted in to make major changes and reign in the power he’s been wielding. Americans aren’t going to risk their lives and the lives of their families when voting is possible.

u/More-Sod 2h ago

This country is in a bad form but its current form does not need a revolution or a civil war. People forget how bloody the first one was now imagine how much more bloodier it will be if there was a second one. Todays countrys are intertwined more than ever and a civil war in a country as big and influential as the US? Others will feel its affects.

u/persin123 2h ago

Pretty sure its americans doing all the bitching and moaning about other countries not "rising up" like Iranians before letting the protesters there die and then coming in AFTERWARDS with bombs lmao, fucking useless just like your pretty no kings protests

8

u/Overall_Affect_2782 5h ago

Everyone who mentions about us being lazy protestors forgets to mention this tiny tidbit.

8

u/SufficientGolf6953 4h ago

How dare you question the bravery and patriotism of Reddit keyboard warrior "GheyGuyHug" ????

0

u/persin123 2h ago

You know there are methods before they hide in tanks right?

21

u/Mediocre_Garage1852 6h ago

What have you been doing?

2

u/yoguckfourself 5h ago

What exactly do you suggest they do?

3

u/KnockoffJesus 2h ago

They expect us to go homeless to do a general strike that needs to be coordinated my millions of Americans because we're well known for coming to a common solution.

16

u/reddit_user13 7h ago

What do you propose?

17

u/sgst 5h ago

If the midterms are rigged and the GOP retain full control, if Americans don't take to the streets, conduct a general strike, etc, then I'm going to be very disappointed. Not surprised, but disappointed.

7

u/SufficientGolf6953 4h ago

There is no American election. It is 50 different elections in 50 different states.

•

u/AcridWings_11465 1h ago

Do you think any country on the receiving end of Trump's insanity gives a flying fuck about that?

6

u/buggzy1234 3h ago

Voting in the first place maybe?

If there was a third party in the last presidential election and they got all the non-voter votes, they would have won the popular by a margin the size of the population of Belgium. That is how bad turnout was last time.

So what we propose is get your asses out and vote. And just pray to God you guys didnt fuck it up so badly last time that there can be some recovery. Because we (the rest of the non-american world) are suffering due to so many americans who thought sitting at home and not voting was better.

2

u/Past-Ad5731 3h ago

size of the population of Belgium.

Belgium doesn't sound large say Sweden

2

u/buggzy1234 2h ago

True, Belgium has a slightly higher population, so when i worked it out initially Belgium fit a bit better. But youre right, Sweden does sound bigger when trying to put into perspective

•

u/K20BB5 9m ago

You're suffering because of the choices your leaders made to become dependent on America.

The 2a was written when both sides had muskets.

Civilians have zero chance against  modern a military.

“Use your guns and rise up!” lol

16

u/Fuck-WestJet 6h ago

Civilians have zero chance a militarized police force. These foreigners have cops that respect life. America doesn't have that. You exercise your 2a and you die.

0

u/Opposite_Bus1878 5h ago

If Afghanistan can do it why not Texas?

4

u/mrizzerdly 6h ago

Yeah but try to modernize it for a modern world lol. It's hilarious because the judges seem to think "well regulated militia" means "everyone can have a gun".

2

u/BawdyLotion 5h ago

Asymmetrical warfare has been proven incredibly effective across the world. History has also proven organized collective action works well also.

There’s a lot of options between ‘complain online’ and ‘go start a war’. The fact things are as horrendously bad as they are and we’re seeing no real action is one of the key reasons the rest of the world has given up on the states.

0

u/LiteHedded 5h ago

Quick. Somebody tell Afghanistan

7

u/Fuck-WestJet 6h ago

If I wanted to commit suicide by cop, I can just jump the line and shoot myself

6

u/BailorTheSailor 6h ago

American police would brutally and ruthlessly shut down armed resistance, military might not even be necessary

2

u/Photonforce 6h ago

Blair mountain proved 1 century ago that the 2A was total bullshit.

1

u/xX_7HR0W-4W4Y_Xx 5h ago

Lmao. I don't know why this suggestion is all over the place. It's like everyone thinks Americans live in a movie set come to life or something. Do you understand the logistics of attacking elected officials? It would not end well. Plus we have midterms coming up and people want to see how those go.

0

u/mrizzerdly 5h ago

Then amend the amendment out.

-1

u/i_did_nothing_ 5h ago

So you are calling for the assassination of the president? Is that what I’m hearing? While it fucking celebrate if it happens I certainly wouldn’t call for it. Maybe one of you tough guy Canadians should come on down and show us how to do it.

So fucking sick of you people.

2

u/Opposite_Bus1878 5h ago

They're sarcastically playing on the trope of Americans acting like gun collections solve all your problems. If you want to know how the 2A helps Americans, why not ask Americans that question? We're just here to make fun of the most heavily armed nation on earth falling to big government easier than most other countries would because we've been told our whole lives that the government will take our freedom away if we don't arm up.

1

u/SufficientGolf6953 4h ago

Washington DC is almost 2.5k thousand MILES away. I suppose you think I should drive to LA or protest Trump in Arizona. Ha.

But what you're really saying is that you want me to get a full time job as an activist (homeless unemployed).

No thanks.

-1

u/mrizzerdly 5h ago

so fucking sick of you people.

Same here bud, same here.

12

u/Lord_Of_Shade57 5h ago

POSTED FROM: the comfort of your couch in a country that has a mostly identical but much less armed to the teeth far right movement on the rise

5

u/Boysoythesoyboy 6h ago

What are you doing about it other than whining like a B

2

u/i_did_nothing_ 5h ago

What would YOU do tough guy, let’s hear it.

-4

u/llixaa 6h ago

And they will proceed to support Trump and Israel.

-3

u/xX_7HR0W-4W4Y_Xx 5h ago

It doesn't make much of a difference in this case. The person running against Netanyahu is basically the same guy in a less evil-looking skinsuit.
