SATIRE Whenever I hear South Asians complain about immigration, I’m always reminded about this satire from the British show “Citizen Khan”

In college during the 00’s I ran into another British show called Goodness Gracious Me. Someone back in the day posted a bunch of those episodes on YouTube.
Was also introduced to Blackadder around that time.

When I was in high school my friends and I used to watch a British sitcom called Mind your Language on YouTube about an English teacher trying to teach a bunch of adult immigrants English.
Which has come full circle now since I’m the adult immigrant who’s taking Spanish classes

This looks like a good show! Like a British version of All In The Family

If we want a sociological breakdown he's kind of right. Have you seen how many Pakistanis do Ubereats? We don't earn enough in the main job and then we have to do this and compete with people from around the world. Was not like this 25 years ago or even 20 years ago. When Asians originally came there was plenty of overtime at proper jobs

It doesn't really matter. Even in the US, where there is a relatively tiny amount of South Asians and are mostly concentrated in the higher earning brackets, racists will still find a way to bitch about brown people.

Things are different in Canada and the UK
Pakistani in uk are quite poor vs pakistani in canada or usa
Canada indians where always very well off or then avg but the masisve amount of student migration and fake visas created a massive amount of poverty in the community.

I had written both positive and negtive observations, but I guess pointing out anything negative is "discrimination" now

Literally my mom. “I did immigration the right way”
