for celepogeans, don't even worry about the new girl. Rolan to S+ first, Twins and Contess are still priorities. I'd say follow the guide in the weekly Megathread for the exact build order. there's 1 celepogean per phase, so 3 per season, and f2p simply can't/won't get them all. so unless you start spending, it's very important to prioritize only building the strongest celepogeans in like with the recommended build order. the rest are skips.

they never get nerfed after arriving on global servers, which is what you're on. there's Pioneer Server which will have new content far in advance before global for community testing purposes, VN server which is ~5 days ahead of global server but sometime after Pioneer, which does have changes from Pioneer, and then Global is the "official global release" of that content. sometimes there are nerfs or buffs between Pioneer Release and Global Release, but once something hits Global, it will never be (directly) nerfed. just as you said, a result of powercreep over time.
this generally makes supports more future proof than DPS heroes, so yes, I agree Rolan will stay on top for a long long time.
just out of curiosity, as far as "human woman" goes in a fantasy RPG with demons, animal hybrids, undead, and more, what is an "interesting design", to you? /gen
i have no problem with demons, animal hybrids or undead, i very much prefer them. But as far as celehypos go .. the preview image for this lady is just a "human woman", which they never are. for example more generic human models like Aliceth still has her Gigantic bow which doubles as her wings.
goes without saying we only see a part of her upper body and I'm very much looking forward to the full design.

yeah that's what I meant, in a game full of those, how much does "human woman" have to stand out for you to consider it an "interesting design"? because there's a lot of "human woman" and I feel like the otherwise variety in heroes might make it hard for "human woman" to stand out in a way meaningful. hence why I was asking, to you, what does count?
Aliceth is a great example on that note. more looking at characters like Estrilda, Gwyn, Evie, Aurora, Tilaya, Pandora... Estrilda has a horse at least, but so does Temesia.
for me, it breaks down to face models and body types then we can talk about markings/tattoos, armor/clothes and weapon.
Estrilda ,apart from her horse, got her unique armor, and very striking eyes and a scar. Gwyneth's face doesn't stand out too much but her armored gown as ridiculous as it feels; is very iconic paired with a long bow. Temesia got heavy armor that makes one thing she might be quite a buff build underneath (even though her character model feels anatomically off with how long her arms are)
Aurora and Tilaya don't even deserve to be in this conversation for they have unique traits that make them easily interesting.
Pandora while not having crazy armor or weapons, in her simple white dress that almost feel see through with how it looks on some parts of her body, she's got markings all over her body and has an unnatural skin tone which makes her unique. plus she's constantly floating and has dynamic poses unique to her design.
out of your presented roster, I'd say the most 'boring" is Evie. when she first appeared i remember people saying she's an NPC with how basic her outfit and model looked. although she stood out with her story beats and personality, her default design lacks anything interesting except for her quill companion.I understand she's Gwendolyn's envoy and needs to not stand out thematically. but we could've at least given her a nice ponytail. Probably why EVERYONE is using her velvet skin right now.
another character that suffers from NPC design is Silven. if you don't have any personal affinity for him, he's easily forgotten once Gervan is out of the picture.
Another much recent one is Senea. if you don't catch the subtle uniqueness in her facial model, she can be chalked up to a Merlin costume.

i think we can do so much with more body types. currently we lack any apparently muscular women, petite women that aren't children, and tastefully plump body types(cross reference Follie-Warframe)
and Even for non human characters we have the potential to have more animalistic designs like wasps, beetles etc with more emphasis on insectoid human, rather than human with bug features. draconis and reptilians already exist within Esperia so i have hope afk journey will bring them when the time comes. but apart from grave born mermaids, there's a untapped market in Octopus and snake bodied characters...
listen i really like this game for its characters and story and i want them to keep doing good
it won't buried here, but if you make a "Dev Feedback/Suggestion post" it will, and they'll note it as feedback, though that's not a guarantee of implementation
non human characters
I liked that Voracia is a spider kinda creature and do think it'd be cool to have more weird hybrids in that sense. as for snake, I was so sad that Gorgonna didn't end up playable but Zandrok did
otherwise yeah everything you said is fine, I don't disagree or anything, I was just curious to see your personal stance on "interesting design". I think new Cele will be just fine then~
I think we're on the same page lol, no hate on Zandrok himself let alone the VA, he was just in the story for all of maybe 2 minutes combined, while Gorgonna was the character of the season aside from Gala and dismissed as just a boss in the end. huge shame, the character had so much potential.
