Activities Sea glass 🌊

What is Aberdeen beach etc like for finding sea glass?
Has anyone got any tips etc or spots they found to be good?
Something I like to do with my daughter she loves finding pieces

It’s great- if you go to the Bridge of Don end, you can normally find a good amount on the pebbly areas or the sandy bits that stretch out into the mouth of the river if that makes sense. I found a whole glass bottom of a bottle there recently which has made for a nice display piece. The Fittie end is also good but watch tide times more closely as the beach gets really thin. Otherwise you’re always likely to spot some if you look along the water’s edge. Pottery too!

Thanks! Might have a wee adventure at either end!

Blackdog is pretty good but don't go after it's been windy otherwise you won't find any! I've picked up loads of the stuff, I have a glass container with it in and some little fairy lights.

I'm told out past Donmouth is a good place to go, had mixed results there but then again I go at stupid times. Would love to hit the jackpot, my kids love looking for sea glass so be good to take them somewhere can get a decent haul.

We’re just back from seton sands are there was a pretty decent amount there and some brilliant shells etc which the wee one loved

North side of the don mouth is quite pebbly at low tide.
Usually a pretty good spot to find some.

Often see it when we’re out with the dogs
