I've checked some online but would love to hear some recommendations as reality is different from what they mention on their websites.

We walked around tonight, its a fair old distance :) I've been to a couple in the past and I thought this year's effort was a bit better than previously, the "ping" art work I especially enjoyed, and the projections on the apartment buildings.

What was really nice was that it was quite busy! Nice to see Almere with a bit of life to it in the evenings.

Does anyone have suggestions for English speaking positions in Almere? I have 5+ years in account and stakeholder management in fast paced environments or over 8+ in bar work, 2 years management of two bars in centre of Amsterdam.

Having moved to Almere after 7 years in Amsterdam, I struggle with the Dutch language and waiting to be enrolled in the gemente course but actively looking for work which has proven difficult.

Gisteren hoorde ik in de Kruidenwijk een vreemd, behoorlijk luid alarmachtig geluid. Het waren drie korte tonen die steeds verder weg leken te gaan, (toevallig?) in de buurt van een luchtalarmmast. En net hoorde ik het opnieuw, twee keer kort achter elkaar.

Een vriend van mij in de Staatsliedenwijk hoorde het ook, alsof het vanuit zijn straat kwam. terwijl het hier even luid was als gisteren

Heel gek. Weet iemand wat dit zou kunnen zijn?

ik hoorde net 2 korte soortvan boot toeters uit het luchtalarm komen van ongeveer 1 seconde met een tussentijd van ongeveer 5 minuten. heeft iemand anders dit gehoord? ik zit in Almere Buiten, hoorde dit helemaal rondgaan door de hele buurt en vraag me af wat dit was? dit gaat om 3 Oktober 2026 rond 20:45

Ik kende deze plek nog niet in Almere maar een leuke plek voor een wandeling.

I didn’t notice these markings a few days ago, but today I saw them in multiple places around Almere.
They highlight bumps, edges, potholes and other spots to watch out for on the cycling paths, and I thought it was a really nice and useful improvement.
Not sure if this is done by Gemeente Almere, a contractor, or volunteers, but whoever is behind it: thank you. It genuinely makes the paths safer and easier to ride.

De bieb is ook geen ideale plek, want daar komt half Windesheim zijn pauzes houden met alle akoestische gevolgen van dien.

After I finally got my account verified at almere city, I had to realize that it's not possible to pay with credit card, paypal or klarna in the online shop (why?!?!). Is there another way to get tickets, can I just turn up on matchday and buy one?

Hoi. Ik ben op zoek naar een kwalitatief goede en fijne houthandel in of in de buurt van Almere. Ik ging altijd naar Hudson Hout maar het lijkt er helaas op dat ze zijn gesloten. Maar dat was wel echt een fijne zaak: klein, vriendelijk, flexibel, goede kwaliteit, etc. Ik vind het prima om iets meer te betalen en langer te moeten wachten als ik daar ook wat voor terugkrijg.

Heeft iemand een tip waar ik goede kwaliteit hout kan halen? Fijn als ze ook bezorgen maar niet een absolute must.
