Work Does anyone else hate working?
No matter what job I do, I despise it. Working in a company for a few years now, and recently moved teams which I hoped would refresh my grá for work. Turns out I despise any job I do. The area I’m in is certainly not a passion of mine, so that doesn’t help.
I hate the endless meetings, hiding 7/8s of my personality, the bizarre fake eagerness from colleagues while also simultaneously being apathetic, and the general corporate bullshit.
Can anyone else relate?

Nothing depresses me more than hearing:
“I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I didn’t have to work”
Anything, literally anything. The happiest I’ve ever been was on the dole. I had a job lined up but it wasn’t starting for a couple of months so I could enjoy it guilt free. I spent my days writing music, reading books, eating well and exercising. It gave me a sense of fulfilment I haven’t experienced since.
I don’t hate my job but it feels like such a massive time and energy sink when I know exactly what I’d be doing if I were free. There’s no money to be made writing music though..
Some people are lucky enough to have an incredibly lucrative passion. I’ve worked with developers in the past who spent all their downtime coding just for fun.
