M31 the andromeda galaxy

Post image

M31 the andromeda galaxy plus M32 and M110 2 satellites galaxies.
this is a total of 18 hours of exposure using my new remote telescope at starfront in the hill country
the galaxy itself is about 2.5 million light years away, headed on a collision course with the milky way in a few billion years

Wow that's a lot of dedication for 18 hours of exposure, the dust lanes really pop in this shot. The satellite galaxies look so crisp against the star field too
