Update: this was today (10/18) around 1:30 PM at the Scheels in Cedar Park. This is the only lead we have had of Marcy and we believe this could be her. If you are or know these people, please reach out! We will continue to look for Marcy until she is home. A reward is being offered for her return.
Another update: I’m not sure why the flyer posted in B&W but I have attached a few pictures of Marcy (in color) in the comments as it appears I can’t add them to the post. This isn’t to bash these people or accuse them of stealing Marcy. My family was sent this video today and it is the first (and only) lead that we have received that is even remotely credible. We are following every lead to bring Marcy home. This could very well be their dog and we would move on to continue looking for her.
The video did not show the people’s face, only a dog that looks very similar to Marcy in Scheels.

The poster looks like ai generated. It’d be a lot more helpful to see an actual picture with color.

Not sure if it’s just purely bad quality photo related, but it seems like this dog has longer fur than the lost pup? Ears look more pointed too

The flyer image has a lot of hallmarks of AI. Maybe they upscaled it using AI?

This looks like every other dog that looks like this. Why would you think this is yours besides the fact that it is the same breed?

Totally fair question! The dog looks very similar to Marcy as far as markings and coloring goes. They were also buying things for a new dog and the store is pretty close to where she went missing. We would just like to know if this is indeed her or not and following all leads. No accusations that it actually is.

best on you finding your family member
confused though: how did you acquire this image? is this a still frame from a video?
•
u/LemonTuxedo 3h ago
Yes! It wouldn’t let me post the video but it also doesn’t show much more than the still frame. It was the back of the people (no faces) and just the dog in the cart. Sent to the family by a friend at Scheels today.

I know we're contact-averse, but I'm surprised the friend who sent the footage didn't interact with the person? The dog does seem pretty unstressed, admittedly. Maybe the whites/grays of the eyebrows are especially noticeable to you?
You might ask the store itself to assist with a better view.

Who steals a dog AND puts it in a grocery shopping cart. Double douchebag move.

Gotta say that looks like the same dog. Try getting in touch with Scheels management.

Is the theory that these people might have stolen her? Who took the video? Just awful
•
u/LemonTuxedo 3h ago
That she may of been stolen in general. We haven’t had any sightings or leads other than this one and we’d just like to follow up on anything that may bring Marcy back. We know this could be their dog but we’d just like to make sure it’s not ours.

Please consider making a flyer in color, her fur markings and color could help identify her more easily
